I hope it’s The Village!

There are some composers whose recent work I like much less than earlier work (such as Giacchino or Brian Tyler), but I don’t know if I’d say I dislike them now, just their new stuff.

I’ve near-caught up on Frieren and I can attest that the show and score are both among the best in anime. I may have even shed a tear or two…

Blasphemy on a JW forum, but I think Oppenheimer should win score.

I still can’t say I’m an Isham fan, but I have heard good scores of his (like Cool World) so I know he has it in him.

While that’s normally true, HTTYD is a score general audiences do know fairly well. -
I really don’t hear what all of you hear, haha. There was a couple pretty tracks…

Live action “How to Train Your Dragon” coming 2025 - John Powell

It would still be interesting even if we just get a re-recording of the first film’s score. (I rather liked Lion King’s remake score for that reason.) -

I really like all of the live action scores other than Kenobi. -
I have never been a big fan of Joseph Trapanese’s mainstream scores, and therefore didn’t like his music, but more recently I’ve encountered his more melodic side (only present in scores nobody has heard of), which is quite good.

From a musical standpoint, needledropping older scores into a new film doesn’t seem like it properly tells a “musical story” - but there are plenty of films that have nevertheless done so effectively (another one that hasn’t been mentioned here yet is Zimmer’s Rango, which uses one track from Elfman’s The Kingdom to great effect), so this article seems a bit harsh. -

I’ll definitely be getting this too. -
I don’t know anyone who cares even 5% as much as I do, but I have identified scores and composers that friends and family do like and I try to keep them periodically returning to my field for more!

My thoughts on this score are that I should not have missed out on the LLL edition! -

Unfortunately, the copy I picked up only had the cases, not the box. The cost of being cheap! -
I generally agree, but without the dissing of Zimmer and Ludwig!

There’s only one thing about the movie that I dislike (Helena knocking out Indy at the end) - everything else ranges from decent to really great. So yeah, I like this movie a lot.
