  1. Yeah, Kang was supposed to be the next Thanos to the MCU but they weren't doing a very good job of establishing that. He was already defeated by Ant-Man, so why should the group at large be needed to take him on the next time? Honestly, the whole set up to the next Avengers has been terrible (who even are the Avengers right now?) and this might be a blessing in disguise. They have already made it clear they want to do Secret Wars so getting rid of Kang and replacing him with someone like Dr. Doom to face the Avengers seems a better play to right the ship at this point.
  2. Neither company is doing well apparently so maybe pooling resources and combining their fledgling streaming services into a one-stop destination rather than two separate entities might be beneficial to both sides. I would much prefer that both sides stay separate with someone like Apple coming in to steer Paramount in the right direction but the alternative for WB might be breaking up and selling the divisions to different orgs.
  3. I'm over 65 hours into the game and still haven't done any of the "regional phenomenon". I got to Rito village about 20 in game hours ago, but keep going off and doing different things. I plan on finally doing it this weekend when I have Saturday night off when I usually have a nice 6 hour chunk to play the game, but who knows. This game is so enjoyable and fun to just explore things that it will make my Summer off all the more enjoyable when my break starts on June 7. At the rate I'm going, I can see myself putting 200 hours into the game before finishing, which is roughly double what I put into BOTW. Still haven't even encountered a Lynel at this point, but considering I've heard most have moved to darker environments I guess it makes sense as I've barely done that much expansive research "down there".
  4. I've found that the falling pieces are mainly just to give you height if you want to survey the land and glide somewhere. I've used Recall on at least a dozen of them and only once was able to use it to get to a sky island, and that was just barely able to make it.
  5. The amount of effort and detail that went into the game is impressive. I doubt it took the full 6 years to complete, but I'm just so glad to be playing this game again. BOTW fully engulfed my life for a couple of months, and once I'm done teaching in a couple weeks, I suspect that Tears of the Kingdom will do the same.
  6. Nic Cage did a knockoff version a few years ago called Willy's Wonderland that was pretty enjoyable. Didn't do very well but I imagine the FNAF brand will at least bring in a decent crowd, though a simultaneous Peacock release will limit it's box office potential.
  7. I'll be picking up my game from Best Buy after work tomorrow. I've been pretty diligent about avoiding the leaks the last couple weeks but I've taken a peak at a few things just to wet my appetite. Luckily, pretty much every leak I found out about was basically revealed in the last developer talk so I didn't really find out more than Nintendo had intended. I've been itching for this game for a long time, I just hope I enjoy it like I did the last.
  8. I just recently finished an edit of the Batman v Superman UE to make it more concise and actually focus on the story rather than all the other stuff that will end up leading nowhere. I cut the Knightmare stuff, I cut the whole desert opening (which we saw so we the audience knew it made no sense that everyone was arguing about Superman killing people when we know he didn't), I also cut the scene of Diana looking through the folder of the other metas complete with their corresponding logos for some reason. I also trimmed some of Lex's nonsense and tried to make him more serious (this was harder to accomplish but somewhat successful). I then ended the film on a hard cut of Bruce at the funeral talking about his feeling that something was coming that would set up the JL film, rather than the dirt rising on Clark's grave which was retconned anyway. Ultimately, it's still a weak film but there is some good stuff in there, but it's overall just the wrong direction to take and basically was the death knell for the DCEU before it really started, as they were never able to escape audience's reaction to the film.
  9. At least The Last Jedi dared to try something different and not just repeat things over again and use 'member berries to tell the story. It wasn't everyone's cup of tea (mine included) but I appreciate that Johnson at least tried to do something different and move things forward, only for JJ to return and almost undo all the character work he did for no good reason. As a huge Luke fan, I was at first quite upset with his portrayal and especially the ending. Upon further viewings and some reflection, I actually have accepted what occurred and can accept that Luke wasn't perfect. Hopefully Mangold will give us the same ending for Indy, a flawed man like we knew him and not a superhero. Whatever Indy's ultimate end fate may be, I'm just glad to get a little more time with the character.
  10. I mean, The Swarm is terrible so that 9% seems about right. As far as Rotten Tomatoes goes, I generally use it to decide whether to go out to the theater or not. If its still something I want to see or am interested in I'll watch it, but the RT score basically decides whether I go out to the theater or wait. Even with A List its not worth the hassle, especially during the busy score year.
  11. I interact with plenty of people that use the numbers or will use it as a make it/break it whether they want to see a movie or not. Sure, plenty of people get hyped for trailers and the like, but there are plenty of people that will simply use the RT score to judge, though everyone's tolerance is different. For me, anything below a 50 and I don't go out and see it unless I was really interested. I'm more forgiving probably than most, but it's definitely helped me weed out some stinkers I've avoided in theaters.
  12. I mean, its crap so why not. Maybe if it was half an hour shorter it'd be tolerable, but not an awful lot happens to justify its runtime.
  13. My Top 5 title songs You Know My Name Nobody Does It Better Live and Let Die Diamonds Are Forever Skyfall Honorable Mention: Surrender (Tomorrow Never Dies)
  14. According to reports he's been cast as Mr. Fantastic, so he'll be too busy to do a show anyway, though him not being British would probably be a bigger factor in him not playing the role.
