Here is my final choice: Track 1: Escape/Chase/Saying Goodbye from the 20th Anniversary Edition of E. T. (the last 30 sec. of this track). This will hopefully be played while I get my certification. As alternatives tracks I selected: Track 2: Rebel Fleet and End Title from Star Wars ESB Special Edition(also the last 30 sec.). Track 3: Prologue and Main Titel from Superman (Varese 2CD Edition) Time: 1:37 - 2:07. Track 4: Olympic Fanfare and Theme (The Very BEst of John Williams CD Phillips) Time: 0:00 - 0:31 Track 5: Prologue and Main Titel from Superman (Varese 2CD Edition) Time: 5:02 - 5:29. Thanks for your help and your ideas. BTW: The Raiders march and Ludlows Demise were in my "Top 10" List.

uhm.... :cry: I don't have this tracks on my CD. It has 10 Tracks and the label is "Alhambra" (or something like this). The tracklist and the cover is the same like the Varese OMPS ( see http://www.shef.ac.uk/~cm1jwb/closecd.htm ) but it seems I might have a european release. So again: What tracks?

JFK Finale sounds quiet good. @melange: Really nice ideas but I only have the OST of Close Encounters (and I haven't seen the film yet (shame on me :oops: ). Regaining as son is not one of my favourite cues. I am sure something from "E. T." might be better. @the lord is judge: hm... I'm going make my final examintion(s) during May (here it is called "Abitur"). I just got to know that we could choose a short piece of music ( between 25 and 30 sec.) that will be played while we get our certificates(end of June). Because I' m the biggest Williams fan my school has ever seen I would like to choose something from JW. (also as a kind of "tribute" ) The problem is: I have found LOTS of pieces that might fit well (espacially fanfares) but I can't make up my mind which one to choose. I thought about something like the last 30 sec. of "Escape/Chase... "from E.T. (the "grande finale" of the film) or the last 30 sec. of "The Rebel Fleet/End Title" from the Empire Strikes Back SE. If somebody has an idea what (extract of a ) piece I should take I would be very glad to know about it! THIS IS QUIET URGENT! because I have to give the music to the organizers next monday. you get a small booklet along with the DVDs. In this booklet is a chapter selection list with the names of all scenes of the extendet version of the Fellowhip. All new and all expanded scenes are marked. So you know wich scenes are changed / new and can select them. There ' s a total of 6 new scenes in the film and 20 extended scenes. And for the Two Towers Soundtrack: look at this link: http://www.soundtrack.net/news/article/?id=411. They have a tracklist and some detailed information about the soundtrack. I think this will answer your questions... But I don' t believe there will be this strange "third release" with a 5000 copy limitation any more questions about the soundtrack?

today was a good example for a typical "soundtrack" day. And soundtrack days usually appear 7 days a week : after school I bought "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets" and rushed home. At home I turned on my PC (because I do NOT own a stereo) , insert the CD (pfff... lucky me... no copy protection) and convert the tracks into MP3 data. I rip all CDs I buy, so that they don' t get scratched by my drive. And my "Soundtracks" folder is very well tagged, categorized and HUGE (for someone who is a soundtrack fan since March 2001). Now the "Repeat all" mode is activated an I start to listen to this beautiful soundtrack. After listening to the soundtrack for about 3 or 4 time I put in the new soundtrack I got from ebay (normally I buy around 3 CDs a week at Ebay, because it's so damn cheap). As long as I am home there is always a soundtrack playing in the background. Ok, NEARLY always... Except when we got visitors... oh... and when I am with my friends (who mainly listen to Linkin Park and this kind of music) I always try to put in filmmusic. But they only accept "The Rock" by Hans Zimmer and "Launch" from the score of "Armageddon" because these are action cues. In short: I listen to soundtracks whenever there is a possibility.

@merkel: do you actually also know what is printed on the 2 CDs? You described the front cover (inlay) of the CD and it's the same with the one I've seen on ebay. But covers can be scaned and printed? So whats on the CDs? BTW: Here's the link with the picture. Thanks a lot!

If just asked and the seller of the AI Promos told me that the 2 CDs are "Bootleg CD-Rs". As far as I can see it, it is not the original version given to the AMPAS people (because indysolo mentioned that there is (according to his knowledge) a pressed version). Did the people from AMPA (and the Oscar guys) really got 2 CD-Rs with hand writen text on the CD? Imagine I have seen the 2 CD set on ebay. I mean, is there a way to identify that these 3 cds are the Original ones given to the " Oscar people" by the responsible studio? Is there any printing on the CDs?

according to amazon.de (Germany) the CoS Soundtrack will be released on November, 11th (one day earlier ) uh... I just remember Minority Report... the premier of the film was on October, 3th! (what is more than 2 months later than in the USA)

Does the Promotion 2 CD Set of "A. I." ( see picture below) consists of 2 CD-R ? All I know is that there is no factory-pressed version of the promotion 2 CD Set. So if the 2 CDs are "Bootleg" CD-Rs , how could I know that they are originals and no burned copies (with the cover scanned and printed) ? LoAd3 - who is very confused about bootlegs and CD-Rs
