As a film 'The River' is not up to much but as a score it is superb.

Yeah Trumbull was offered the fx job on SW but turned it down and suggested Dykstra to Lucas I believe.

I believe John Dykstra worked on the special effects on both 2001 and SW.

'Blade Runner' is both a classic movie and soundtrack in my opinion. 'The Bounty' is also a great movie and the Vangelis soundtrack is also very good,plus the two scenes in 'The Year of Living Dangerously' in which two diff versions of L'enfant are used are simply timeless.

Blade Runner,to some,is the definitive sci-fi movie,including myself. This five box set,which is due for release soon,will be most satisfying.
