IheartMelissaBenoist got a reaction from a good little monkey in The Custom Covers Thread
Nice! IMHO Daniela Bianchi is a vastly underrated Bond beauty.

Was reading one of the James Bond postmortems and they had a poster I'd never seen before for DR. NO, and I just loved the composition of the photograph. I tried to find more for at least the rest of the Connery films, but the only ones that struck me were these ones for FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE and GOLDFINGER.

IheartMelissaBenoist got a reaction from Gabriel Bezerra in Let's Rescore Scenes! (Fun Thread)
Ages ago, on VHS, I synced up the scene from Gladiator of Maximus' first fight as a gladiator with the track of the famous Star Trek "Amok Time" fight music, starting with the fighters waiting to go on, finishing with the end-of-fight music hitting right at the end of the Gladiator fight. It was amazingly close, like Dark Side of the Moon Wizard of Oz close. I'd love to see someone do that, I have neither the time nor the talent nor the resources to try it myself.
But it was pretty cool.

Indeed she does.

IheartMelissaBenoist got a reaction from Yavar Moradi in Has an expansion ever made you appreciate a score you initially didn't care for?
First Knight.
I dunno, maybe I was cranky about because there was only like 30 to 40 minutes on the initial release. Expanded Edition, much, much happier.

I missed it out by mistake, it goes after A New Day. I've added it in.

Hey, I actually know one of the trumpet players on this album/in this band! In fact, took trumpet lessons myself from several of the same instructors/directors. Neat-o!
(But on topic, I am looking forward to hearing this score as well!)

I've been looking forward to this for a very long time and I even support Jean-Baptiste on Patreon but there is no way I can afford $200 CND (including shipping) for the first volume of FOUR books. I mean, a complete set will cost $800! I really want this, but not at that price, unfortuantely.

Yikes. As much as I think the product will be excellent, and I'd very much want to read all four volumes, I have a hard time trying to convince my poor wallet that I should buy one volume of a four-Volume work for around $160 USD.
I don't mean to belittle or attack anyone, nor their outstanding dedication and work that went into this, just stating my (poor person's) point of view.

Delays are normal for Kickstarter projects, even "professionally" run ones. Especially when it comes to physical products. Estimated delivery times must be announced before funding starts and, perhaps even more importantly, before demand is known. And the further a project is funded beyond it's target (i.e. beyond what the creators presumably think they could realistically expect), the more complex production and shipping becomes. For a project that's 900% funded, they may have had a solid rough plan in place for producing and shipping their estimated number of copies around the official date, but then suddenly they had to re-plan for printing and shipping nine times as many items. Which means getting bigger slots in production and shipping queues, which are often filled for months or I suppose years into the future - and it may still take 9 times as long to print and ship, but to delivery everything on time, they would have to start production and shipping 8 times earlier than originally planned - at which time, they probably don't have anything to print yet (otherwise the expected delivery would have been set to an earlier date to begin with).
And that's assuming that everything else works out exactly as scheduled. As always, Hofstadter's law applies.

Spyfall parts 1 and 2 were given a theatrical showing. I remember going and noting sadly how empty the theater was.

I thought that as well. Then someone pointed out that Ncuti was still finishing up Sex Education.
Which leads me to wonder... They finished filming Ncuti's first season how long ago? They couldn't have bumped the schedule for DW just a bit so there was no overlap?
I guess we should probably be grateful we're getting as much as we are, I suppose.
