LB Makes Stuff

That’s what me and a few others think, but I’m hoping to get some form of confirmation towards any answer. I’ve emailed some people, and plan on asking others.

Hey, I’ve got a question about this cue or insert or whatever. At the very beginning of the credits, this random (we’ll just call it an insert for now) insert opens them up. I’m curious to know if anyone is aware of the origins of it and if it really was written to open for the song that plays after. it’s the first 18-19 seconds of the video below.

For sure listen to the first score, as that’s referenced a lot here. But give Afterlife a listen, as some action material from there is present here.

About halfway through the album now, and I have to say, the reused music is actually fairly unique compared to the first film’s. There are parts that are straight up not different to the cue being reused though. But there was obviously creative liberty with the reuse given to Dario, which wasn’t the case with Simonsen. Edit: Just finished it now, very pleasant experience overall. Loads more new material than old, and it just sounds great. Solid job.

That’s what I was thinking. I’m hoping to do a lot of editing if that’s the case. I’m just personally bummed that another opportunity for a lot of new music was ditched for reuse allegedly.

Aaaaaand bad news regarding the score. From some who went to the premiere, the score is mostly reuse, with little new music.

Sorry I missed this, but thanks for letting me know how this stuff works. I’m looking forward to when they announce the next schedule now.

Oh, one more. This cue is unavailable on any releases of the score, but it’s used twice in a row and is so good. Hopefully the next LLL expansion is this score. 910275DD-7BC9-4E07-8F47-887E2AECB70B.mov

1:57 and on is soooooo beautiful. Though the most calm variations on the three themes, they’re easily the best in the entire score. I’d love to hear this live.

I’m sorry, but I really don’t like that (what is essentially) quote. It doesn’t sound good to me at all.

It’s re-recorded 100%, the bassoons sound different compared to the DoD version.

That’s sick, and really smart too. I wouldn’t think of doing that 😂

Seems like it. I think they've just added digital percussion to make the main trailer "epic" sounding compared to the rest of it. I'm hearing a lot of material that's definitely "theme material" and it's great.

So happy we have Gordy for this, and man, the Indy theme variations sound amazing.

My mistake

I recall him being a pretty big factor in this game.

It’s honestly up for debate until next Thursday to be honest. This is a Bethesda game and not from EA, so it’s not as highly likely to get Haab and Barton in here. Clint has been doing WoW as of recently. I’m not sure where Todd Howard sits on film music and whether or not it’s important (to him), so we’ll just have to see. I do think there’s a fair chance Vincent Oppido (composer of the Indiana Jones temple segments in Fortnite) could be in the running.
