  1. Yay! i was counting on you to post 5 Stefan Its a 5/5 from me, the Return Of The King Complete Recordings is one of the best investments ive ever made My favourite part is the brassy section in the last 2 minutes of 'The Siege Of Gondor', sheer brilliance. My next favourite part is in 'The Grace of Undómiel' 4.12 - 5.39, Fantastic! So many good parts, I love the whole score.
  2. Im not familiar with most of them :S are they good scores?
  3. Get over yourself all ready. At least I'm not a drone like you and most people here are who thinks Williams is the "absolute best". thats one of the stupidest things you've ever said. Williams is the absolute best and to say he is doesn't make you a drone, to say he isn't makes one look foolish. oh my my, a big debate hear. we are all entitled to our opinions, mine is the Williams is the absolute best. some one elses' may be different, cant we all just value each others opinions? i mean if we were all the same would be pointless debating wouldnt it
  4. Get over yourself all ready. At least I'm not a drone like you and most people here are who thinks Williams is the "absolute best". Its a JWFAN.NET Forum, surely most people here are going to think that Williams is the "absolute best"
  5. My fav John Ottman score is X Men II, thats quite a good listen not a big fan of Harry Gregson-Williams, the only one i think ive heard by him is Chronicles Of Narnia, which i think isnt really good at all :s

  8. 1. John Williams 2. Howard Shore 3. James Newton Howard 4. Jerry Goldsmith 5. James Horner 6. Alan Silvestri 7. Danny Elfman 8. Hans Zimmer 9. Thomas Newman 10. John Barry
  9. Mozart in Lion King. Holst in Gladiator. Which part of holst are you referring too? (im not saying it is'nt, im just asking which part you mean )
  10. I was a little disspointed with The Next Doctor. Most exciting part for me was hearing Murray Gold's new renditions of the Cybermen Theme. Well done Murray!
  11. Chase Through Coruscant is a great peice alone and serves a great purpose as an action peice in Attack Of The Clones. Its a very dynamic track indeed, not just volume but all the different tempos. Keeps me on the edge of my seat
  12. Hans Zimmer BOO!!! - John Williams YAY!!! No i cant really say that because I own all 3 Pirates Of The Caribbean OST's and Gladiator OST.
  13. which Chopin peice are you referring to when you say that? i'm not familiar with his work, ive been into Film Scores since i was very young but only recently finding out how great classical music is Funeral March. But that's too broad a statement, IMHO. JW owes equally to Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, etc. oh yeh, duh! sorry I had a blonde moment (funeral march!) Yeah well Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky laid down all the ground work, they must have had influence on him, but all great creators are influenced by something or someone.
  14. which Chopin peice are you referring to when you say that? i'm not familiar with his work, ive been into Film Scores since i was very young but only recently finding out how great classical music is
  15. I would really like it to become reality having Star Wars isolated scores on Blu-Ray, but i wont hold my breath <_<
  16. Are these times the same as the concert version on the ESB:SE soundtrack? I would have to check again, but just about. I'd think it's between 1:10 and 1:20, anyway. Never heard of it. Where can I listen to it? Is there a clip on youtube maybe? id have to send it you, it seems to be rare
  17. You you like this better than any other piece by any composer, EVER? yeah I really do like it better than anything by any other composer The Leonard Slatkin & Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra version is a lot better than the Skywalker Symphony version. Its the best version I've ever heard.
  18. Yes I can only AGREE TOTALLY The Imperial March is my favourite peice of all time and I think always will be (i know i say this a lot lol) There isnt any aspect of the composition i dont like, its Flawless in every way!
