The Imperial March - Concert Arrangement : Shall always be my favourite all time peice of music ever written. Words cannnot describe how much I love it!

I've just got Extraterrestrial Classics in the Post. Its got a version of The Imperial March i've never heard before by The Saint Loius Symphony, Conducted by Leonard Slatkin. I must say its quite easily the best version of the peice I've ever heard and want to hear all of The Empire Score by this Orchestra

I can't beleive no one has mentioned my favourite yet. In The Empire Strikes Back when General Reiken says 'We better start the evacuation', then It cuts to the Imperial Star Destroyer passing over screen with the most powerful ostinato ever! Then when you see Darth Vader watching the Imperial Fleet from the bridge just a moment later, I've watched that more than any other scene, I LOVE IT!

I know that a lot of People consider the London Symphony Orchestra to be the best overall, which I agree with... but has anyone heard Holsts' Planets By The London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Colin Davis? I think its one of the worst versions of 'Mars - The Bringer Of War' i've ever heard

totally agree with that, but would Williams have got to this stage now without scoring Star Wars and Jaws, like he did?

I would strongly recommend getting the SW Anthology, its absalootely Fantasitc. I very rarely listen to the Special Editions because of the awsomeness of the Anthology, wish they'd release a prequel trilogy box like that

I would say he's recently written his masterpiece. yeah, i doubt he'll get another oputunity to do something on that scale again, apart from the Two Hobbit Movies
