Yes, no doubt here. Best soundtrack purchase ever!

Mais... I would like to point out that no current version of the Star Wars soundtracks is PERFECT... The 1993 Anthology box set is essential, but it has its small peculiarities... some alternate takes selected by error (nothing serious), the omission of the cue 'Mynock's cave' in The Empire Strikes Back and a stereo issue in one of the thematic tracks with Yoda (I always forget which one).

I'd say yes, you'll probably love it. I've heard pretty good things about Star Wars.

That's not a cue, its a track, comprised of three cues
    0:00-1:58 = 12M6/13M1    Space Battle 1:58-4:28 = 13M2    Vader's Death 4:28-end = 13M3    Through the Flames

I created my own custom entrance themes for Obi-Wan Kenobi and Han Solo. Utilising the music by John Williams from Obi-Wan Kenobi and SOLO: A Star Wars Story, whilst retaining the Gordy Haab style.

Went back to listen to POA for the first time in a while. I’ve got to say, the part of the album that goes from Chasing Scabbers to Lupin’s Transformation contains what I’d say to be some of the best action music JW has ever written. Some absolutely incredible brass writing in there.

From time to time I revisit this wonderful article from Chris Malone about not only the recording process, but how "chaotic" it was to produce this boxset. Very interesting reading...

Makes me sad to think that RotJ could sound terrific in the 1997 2CD set as it did in the Anthology set.

Cute interview! And always so nice to hear Williams play his own famous themes.

I was able to filter out the talking and combined the two bits of playing to put together a whole little statement of the theme.

I first saw an advertisement for this in the USA TODAY entertainment section, which was one of my favorite newspapers to read. Unfortunately it was very vague and I just figured it would be the 3 original soundtracks packaged together.

However I did mark the date down and went to a mall the day it was released, I believe it was Camelot Music. And they had it upfront with the newest releases. My heart stopped when I read the packaging. Needless to say I grabbed a copy.

I still have mine, and I had John Williams sign the booklet for me.

This is amazing reading everyone's wholesome stories around this boxset.

I was 6 years old when I got this set in 1993, I had to wait until I got enough money from Family Christmas cards to be able to buy it from HMV. I vividly remember going home on the bus after getting it and I was physically shaking with excitement and anticipation on the journey home, which would have only been around an hour at the most, but felt like an eternity, especially at that age.

I think it's still the most excited I've ever been with a soundtrack release, the special editions were close but just didn't have the same kind of energy for some reason. I didn't even have all the OST's before I had the anthology, I never found them in record stores. The only Star Wars music I had before the anthology was Varèse Sarabande's Star Wars Trilogy released in 1990.

When I got home I remember putting in disc two first and skipping to all the statements of the Imperial March 😂. At that point I hadn't heard the OST's at all and only had the original versions of the films on VHS. So when it got the end of the Magic Tree and Yoda and The Force those huge Imperial March statements blew my head off! (For clarification the original film version just tracked the ostinato from the film take recording of the Imperial Fleet, clunky edit as well).

Oh the magic 🙏 it was so special.

30 years ago John Williams was already 61 years old...
To think that he is still around and in great shape, and could possibly compose another Star Wars score or theme(s) is mind-blowing.

It's pity that 1. Polygram never provided the album masters to the producers and 2. certain cues had to be taken from film stems (the rebel escape from Hoth).

By the time this set is being released we'll be on Star Wars: Episode XVIII, composed and conducted by the biologically engineered John Williams clone, who retains all of his memories and musical knowledge in the body of when he was 35.
