Fitting considering Disney Emporium just fucked everyone here

I began working on this album in May of 2016.

I’m… not gonna correct them 

The majority of the release comes from analog tape that Shawn Murphy saved his brilliant stereo mixes of every take to, in 1991.  Nobody has to worry about any sound issues with this release -- as the samples should already tell you.  Just compare the samples of "Flight To Neverland", "The Ultimate War (Film Version)", and "Swordfight and The End of Hook" to the same music on the 2012 edition.
 
The songs (which were not recorded by Shawn Murphy) were saved on various different formats but sound just as good.

Fixed 

There is nothing available on the previous expansion (or any boots or leaks for that matter) that is not included in the Ultimate Edition.
 
Well, unless you count some wrong takes that don't offer anything different musically, just are not the performance Williams and Murphy selected to be used in 1991.  Everything on the new set is the correct intended performance edit where applicable.

Have we remarked yet on how beautiful the album art is? The album cover is perfect for a definitive edition with its near-regal color palette and uncluttered layout. (Not that I had any problem with the previous expansion's art -- I've always loved the way that cover was put together.) And from the LLL spash art for this release, it's amply clear we're going to get visual resplendence on all of the (many) pages of the booklets! (Is that splash piece available in larger resolution anywhere??)
 
There's something intangible but essential added to the enjoyment of music when you see it nestled in a beautifully designed package. It's a big part of the reason I collect CDs, and in this regard, LLL is the standard-bearer. Jim Titus, we owe you a huge and heartfelt thanks.

We included Prologue in the samples provided on La-La Land's website, so that everyone would know that it plays at the correct speed

We also made sure all 12 major themes (the six that started life as songs and the six that came after) are represented. I think every sample except Banning Back Home and The Lost Boy Chase feature at least one of the score's twelve themes.

Definitely all 3 of the Star Wars sequels. Probably ROTJ due to the alternate music recorded for the SE.
 
Don't forget Fiddler on the Roof and Goodbye Mr Chips were also 3CD expansions supervised by Mike

I thought it was because of the fact that it was a straight reconstruction of the final film edits with a blue-filtered image of the film's antagonist as the cover art.

To be fair, I've seen the film *many* times and I've always said that I don't remember anything missing from the album. But it's my favourite Horner score, so of course I'll get this.

I’m in total disbelief right now. How long has our community obsessed over a new, better Hook? I joined in 2015 and it was already received wisdom that that score needed a new presentation. And so, year after year, we’d hype ourselves over the possibility of a Hook expansion, talking about anniversaries and studio intrigue and all the rest. And year after year, disappointment awaited us. Until today. Improbably, unbelievably, we no longer have to wait. No more pleading! No more teeth gnashing! No more disappointment! It’s finally, actual-factually coming!!
 
Thank you MM and everyone else involved in making this dream come true!! And @Jay, how long have you had to sit on this news?? Your restraint here — not a single hint from you that this was in the pipeline— was phenomenal. Kudos, sir.
