  1. I saw the film yesterday, and although I like the opening sequence, I was (and still am) truly bothered that so many motifs from previous films had been recycled at this point in the film… I had been expecting a completely new action cue for the sequence, but instead I heard those themes that I strongly associate with moments from the other films, which was disturbing and frustrating (just like what I experienced while watching AOTC during the Battle of Geonosis, or ROTS and the Attack on the Jedi Temple, among others). This is particularly frustrating because the film was postponed by more than a year, which could (/should?) have given JW enough time to score such segments. But then again, there must have been continuous changes to the script and editing, which might have made it difficult for the Maestro to showcase all of his talent. I was afraid that this recycling of themes would happen throughout the whole film, but fortunately it wasn't (much) the case. I just was sad that the Nazi's theme from TLC was never used (at least I did not spot it), because it's one of my favourite villain's motifs. Hearing some music related to Tintin was perfectly fitting, as IJ is inspired from the Belgian comic book character. On the whole, I found this a more pleasing film to watch than KOTCS (due to its 'nuke the fridge' moments among others), although I found it a bit slow at times. I am glad we have some more extra score by the Maestro; hopefully this will not be his last contribution to cinema.
  2. Ah, I had seen you in the crowd in front of the Theatre; I wasn't sure it was you (because of the 'exotic' context), so I didn't dare to come and say hello, for fear of sounding like a 'p**ain d'énergumène' (as George Abitbol would say in La Classe américaine) You don't know me, but I have seen you several times in Paris at the Rencontres — I really love your work!
  3. I wasn't part of any meetup, but I was just wondering — because the resemblance is uncanny, but you never know for sure — if one of the participants wasn't a Frenchman with initials R.C. who has extensive knowledge of French voice actors (among others)…
  4. I think he even mentioned a new ending (I guess reshoots?), if I got that correctly?
  5. What an incredible concert, really a one-in-a-lifetime experience! I was so thrilled when the Maestro appeared! I was literally shaking and on the verge of crying, especially with Hook's theme playing… I couldn't believe I was standing 5-6 meters away from such a genius who has provided so much joy to so many film enthusiasts all around the world for so many years. I am so grateful that my mother and I could get hold of tickets (Vivatickets was an utter and total shambles) and be in the presence of Mr Williams, together with hundreds of fans sharing the same spirit. Thank you to those who have posted pictures, I managed to spot ourselves among the crowd!
  6. Does anybody know when doors open? I just don't want to be standing there in the cold for too long… H-2 before the concert begins, my heart is racing!
  7. Hello everyone, My mother and I landed at 11:15 this morning, then we took the bus to the centre and had a quick walk, stopping at Spontini's to get some delicious pizza slices, before getting to our hotel to freshen up. We also took a photo of the elegant old-fashioned poster in front of the Scala; I can't wait to get inside and see the Maestro in action!
  8. Same for me, and in the meantime I missed out on the Berlin concert because I accidentally slept in and my SO didn't wake me up… My mother is also extremely thrilled to go — and discover Milan in the process.
  9. What a terrible website… I couldn't proceed with anything on my side, now I see this: My mother just managed to book 2 tickets — OMG we're gonna see the Maestro at last!!! Couldn't be happier!
  10. I read the following on the FAQ: "The credit cards accepted are VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, JCB, Maestro and DINERS."
  11. Hello, Thanks for your reply! Yes, there seems to be problems with their system, although I tried different combinations to get the highly-desired text to confirm… Meanwhile, my mother got her text and could proceed with the necessary verifications, so we'll use her account to book — unless I get that OTP in the meantime… Getting that phone number confirmation seems to be absolutely crucial to proceed with a reservation, as I tried with another (available) event, and the system didn't let me through unless I fixed the missing info (i.e. phone number to be confirmed) on my profile! This is really infuriating, as first-time users of Vivaticket like us will be experiencing those problems when tickets go live and won't get a ticket because of that…
  12. Hello everyone, New member here, and hoping to get tickets to the Milano concert to see John Williams for the first time! However, I have been trying to fill in my personal details on my Vivaticket account, but it's impossible to have the phone number confirmed: I have received no OTP on my phone. My mother has tried too, in vain. Has anyone found a way to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!
