  1. Okay, I saw the film today. No spoilers, but I really liked it. I feared it would just 'The Force Awakens' the story of the first, and while I can sort of see it, the way it's set up takes it out of that territory for me. There is one part I'm in two minds over. Without spoiling, I'll just say you'll know it when you see it. The thing I like most is that this film doesn't sequel-bait. They resolve the main conflict, it's done, there's nothing to set up more. Even the mid-credits scene is just a funny little thing. It sets nothing up. I will say that it definitely contradicts the video game. So you can either take the Ghostbusters game as the conclusion, or Afterlife as the conclusion. Personally, I'm good with both.
  2. The villains' line-of-sight is off in that shot, they're not all looking at Tom.
  3. There's talk that there's a few shots that are CGI'd over with Tom Holland's Spider-Man suit. Whether that's true or not... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. It is, it was posted to the official account.
  5. The title of the track "Nice Try, Kevin" does indeed have a story purpose. In that scene, Buzz is called back to the house the new kid is in to deal with a 'forgotten child', and he refuses. That's because, in petty revenge for being left behind twice, Kevin prank-calls the Police every year with that call, knowing they'll get Buzz to look into it. Kevin also became a home security expert, it's his home security system the new kid's house uses. "Nice try, Kevin. Nice try, troutsniffer". About the only thing I would say has any value in this film, I must say.
  6. Just to let you know, the videos in the main post all appear to be privated.
  7. The second sounds very much in the vein of Bernstein's score for the original film.
  8. Two tracks from the score have released as a preview
  9. Personally, I don't really care It's just fun to poke fun at what he said What would be even funnier is if he genuinely believed it and found out the same time we saw the film . After all, he's not been in any of the leaked BTS shots with them so far (the shot above is a post-production shot). "Darn, Tom's a big blabbermouth, so we'd better not actually film him with those two, otherwise it'll be out in the press tomorrow. Don't tell him about them either." What's weird though is these leaks are really well-timed. The unfinished trailer leaked the same day the actual trailer did. The video of Andrew Garfield leaked the same day he publicly said he wasn't in it. Those photos above leaked at about the same time the Total Film article was published.
  10. Tom Holland talks to Total Film: "It's three generations coming together" Tom, mate... after this movie, nobody is ever going to believe a word you say again
  11. There's a track called "Nice Try Kevin". Macauley Culkin insists he's not in the film (could be lying), but maybe his character's referenced? Maybe he's the one who calls Buzz the Cop to go and take a look.
  12. Listening to it, and... it's not awful. A few Williams quotes here and there. Definitely not a patch on Williams' first two scores though. I suppose 'compentent, not unlistenable' would be the way I would describe it. Even 'Setting The Trap' makes an appearance but it's played with a rather poor-sounding drum kit rather than the more powerful one used in Williams' scores. I have to say, 'Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy' sounds more like it would have been at home in Scrooged though.
  13. And Tom's still denying it (I know he probably has to, NDAs and all that, but the timing of these right on the day interviews are published is amusing) Tom did confirm Jamie Foxx himself, but it's a bit late for that, because Jamie Foxx confirmed Jamie Foxx ages ago.
  14. Highest-grossing Marvel-related movie, and received better among critics than Marvel's most recent outing
  15. Next Thursday here, Friday elsewhere.
  16. Final trailer I quite like that they're only teasing the OG Ghostbusters instead of just full-out showing us. It's less than a couple of weeks away anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
  17. Cameron only produces those, right? He's too busy making kissy-eyes with his blue alien cat people to care about any other property at this point. He couldn't even properly guide his OG baby back to relevance. And I admit that despite being of the rare breed who enjoyed Dark Fate.
  18. Looks like a render from the first Spider-Man
  19. I actually think it doesn't look bad. It's just... confusing as to where this is supposed to be set. You got the Raimi Spider-Man on a wall mural, the Raimi Daily Bugle logo (with the MCU dailybugle.net URL beneath it), the TASM Oscorp logo, Vulture from the MCU, and references and allusions to Venom, which take place in an entirely different universe.
  20. I would laugh my ass off if, when the dust settles, more critics liked Venom: Let There Be Carnage than Eternals Feige is lucky to have captured lightning in a bottle as many times as he has. Sooner or later there was going to be that one movie that proved he couldn't do it every time.
