  1. Written cue? Has some sheet music leaked? The missing first bar of 3m11 from Phantom Menace is on the AOTC DVD? Not the entire bar, just the bridge between the first bar and the proceeding snare roll. The UE has the first bar.
  2. You can hear it in the file REPLAY in Star Wars: Racer Revenge, or in Star Wars Battlefront II, both times proceeding the released material for The Race Begins.
  3. Hi, you can probably get more detailed info in this thread Star Wars Prequel Music Resource but from what I know, track 9 on the OST Anakin Defeats Sebulba is made up from these 3 cues - 3M10 ?? (I've noticed some fan edits call this cue Jabba Introduction/Start Your Engine) 0:00 - 1:38 (In this version, the cue segues into the next cue but the UE version has the ending for it which is basically just a snare roll that plays out). 3M11 The Race Begins 1:38 - 2:27 (This cue is actually missing the first bar, the brass chords and strings trills that you hear at the start this cue on the OST are from bar 2, I'm not sure if the missing bar has ever turned up in any of the games, etc). 4M2 Anakin Defeats Sebulba 2:27 - end Regardless of all that though, I too think it's a great track That is slightly misguided info: 3m11 The Race Begins The Album may be missing the first bar (it is there, just layered under "Jabba Introduction/Start Your Engines" ending) but the UE has this first bar, but it is shortened - I use the rear channels of the AotC DVD to restore the bar. The Race Begins is also missing the third section, which, oddly enough, DOES appear partially in the film, after the tracked part of "Escape from Naboo"
  4. I say wait for any official statement - if there ever will be one.
  5. You posted in the wrong thread lmao....the track list is indeed from my set...the guy stated he was just wondering if it may look like from the track list I made up. I mean I'm not holding my breath or anything...but who knows what will happen. If we do finally get a complete intended edition for TPM, AOTC and ROTS I would buy them. Don't see how that's possible as this window wasn't open at all - the only JWFan tab I had open at the time was that thread, I was in the other thread. Anyways, it would have probably been merged here anyway... I certainly would not hesitate to add them to my collections either. And we'd finally have the truth about the order it goes in (as we're all working with guesswork - albeit very good, trustworthy guesswork)
  6. Might be a hoax. In fact it looks strangely similar to my TPM Cue-by-Cue Edit, but it it IS ture, it's wonderful news. Or is it Trent's edit? But I won't get my hopes up unless SONY makes an official announcement and I see a track listing.
  7. You can only get it with the Revenge of the Sith CD.
  8. More like most of it's the same take, but with loops and inserts placed in. The only bit that doesn't come from this take is the last four notes. But Williams seems to have done quite a bit of editing to it.
  9. The Album Version of Duel of the Fates contains loops and inserted segments. I've got the correct edit in my set, but here's the break down of the Album Version: Using Track 2 of the OST: 0:00-1:15 is okay. 1:15-1:20 - the first high note is actually a loop of the second high note. The actual note that goes here is in the UE D2 T24 0:10-0:16. Or it can be found in A Musical Journey. 1:20-2:19 is okay 2:19-2:38 is both volume-enhanced and filled with reverb. The unaltered bit is only available in A Musical Journey. 2:38-2:55.5 is okay 2:55.5-3:01.5 is a loop of 3:55-4:01. The correct material can be heard in the UE, D2 t22, 0:18.5-0:25. 3:01.5-3:07.5 is okay 3:07.5-4:08.5 - the material itself is fine but the transition between this bit and the last bit occurs too quickly. The correct spacing appears in the UE, d2, t20 and t22, and also in A Musical Journey 4:08.5-end - is the WRONG ending measures. These measures come from the unused, concerty version of Duel of the Fates, and the correct ending measures can be found in A Musical Journey. You can notice the edit because the natural reverb from the clash cymbals changes between the edit. I hope that made sense.
  10. Yes, it's the mastering options that have caused it. If you simply raised the volume of a piece, it would not cause the same clipping.
  11. I've figured out why TFU is 'CD' quality but distorted. Has anybody got Adobe Soundbooth? It has mastering options. But if the sound is as loud as even the BF2 sound is, it gets distorted in the same way as TFU is. I think it's a form of wave-form reduction or something. In any case, when used properly IE on quieter files, it makes the sound like CD quality. I did a few tests on BF2 files, boosting the quality and it worked! It sounds much the same quality as the Phantom Menace UE. The only file with distortions is one of the Yoda Strikes Back files but there's nothing I can do to mend it. The rest of them sound pretty good, I must say. Right now, I'm re-editing The Phantom Menace with the new mastering settings, and I must say the music is a damned-sight better with it - some instruments are much clearer because of the mastering. I put a sample on YouTube, if anybody's interested in how a mastered track sounds when it is done properly.
  12. Elite Squadron rip's been released. I don't expect much new, but it's worth a look, definitely.
  13. I hear it on THrough the Flames - it's like a brief cut. Perhaps take assembly wasn't as advanced as it is now?
  14. The Droid Fight bits contain not only synth instruments by Harlin, but 298 also contains a War Drum underneath. Droid Fight kicks in at 0:09 in 397. It's definitely the UE take of Droid Fight - The others match the instrumentation of the UE (except for the snare-roll transition which is closer to the "First Run" - another Lucas meddling, no doubt as the edit sounded quite fake in the UE), but the material in 397 matches the mono mashup material for that bit. I'll upload my edit of the track to YouTube to show you the complete Droid Fight cue.
  15. The OST track seems to be made up of two cues - "Tusken Camp" and "The Homestead", which is actually the bit that's in 37. In the OST this cue begins at approximately 4:00, but it's got the violin chord over the top, indicating that it is indeed two separate cues. We don't have that violin chord clean. I still have the feeling we're missing a part of I Am the Senate, the unreleased bits. Track 85 seems to just cut at 0:01.5 298, 348 and 397 all contain Droid Fight from TPM, but in AotC's tracked "Dooku Escapes" mix. It's the same take as the UE version.
  16. It is the second half of "Tusken Camp and the Homestead" but we don't have the clean ending for the Tusken Camp cue. It also contains some of the film version of "Spying on the Conspirators".
  17. I've been fiddling with them myself. Trent wondered if 43 Pc_mxRX1_jwLandingPad01_lp contains the whole "Palpatine's TV Set" cue. I would say it probably does but it's a loop.
  18. Okay, here's my lineup for TPM. Yep, it's quite complicated but I believe it's finally sorted out. Thanks go to GoodMusician, Trent, Henry Buck and lordskylark for helping me with this over the time I've been here. I've also got AotC and RotS lined up, but I believe Trent had his own breakdown lined up, so I won't post mine just yet. -=-=-=-=- The Phantom Menace Complete Score Key: DVD = DVD rip BF2 = Star Wars Battlefront II - this rip is in .wav format, by me. 19. Nope. No new mixes whatsoever. The only bit of "Revenge of the Sith" is used on the main titles, and it's, again, recycled from BF2.
  20. Nope. Elite Squadron uses the same Heroes Collide track for Obi-Wan that BF2 uses.
  21. Burtt had a hand in it. I love his sound effects, and you are right, the films wouldn't be the same without them. However, there's the pretty-much undeniable fact that Burtt may have had a hand in some of the editorial choices regarding the music (such as the Arena). He knows nothing about music in that sense, so I feel that he should left it alone. Lucas was indeed primarily to blame for most of the hacking (such as the Duel of the Fates slicing he did in TPM) Moving closer back to the topic at hand... I've given a listen to Elite Squadron. There's nothing new in the game, although it does break away from the tradition of solely using the BF2 mixes - now it also uses the Revenge of the Sith game mixes. I just wish it had some cleaner TFU mixes too...
  22. I think it does supposed to end the way it does in the film. Except for the pitched up final note, of course. Who knows for sure...a lot of the music decisions in that film (and the rest of the Prequels), I blame on Ben Burtt. Ben Burtt can probably be blamed for the entire prequel trilogy having its score wrecked. Especially AotC and RotS.
  23. Interesting. I wonder where in AOTC it might have come from.
  24. That's how I feel, Trent. I wondered if it might be this way, what with there being a new venom movie that doesn't tie in to the movies, and the so many changes made to the storyline. I'm sad to see Raimi and Maguire go. Maybe it'll be better on the long run. Then again, maybe the franchise will now just die because nobody would understand the need for a reboot.
