Well, I know that the ending certainly doesn't belong with that 'piece', it belongs to the original "Get 'Em, R-2!" (although, for whatever reasons, Lucas pitched up the final note - seriously, does he have a target list as to how many modifications he makes to the score?) You also missed out Birth of the Twins on your list. There's still bits of it missing.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if the ending to Get Em, R-2! is actually a mish-mash of bits and pieces.
-
Yes, there's only half of Padme's Funeral missing - the middle bit of the funeral march and the ending. The rest is in TFU. Actually, we're missing more than a couple of small excerpt from I Am the Senate. I think the entire cue's about six minutes long. We have most of the Sidious vs Mace bit, some of the "You are Under Arrest, Chancellor" bit, pretty much all of Palpatine's disfigurement. but we're missing a lot of the "Death of Mace" bit.
-
I'm going to pitch down the TFU material to see if it fits what's in the film. If it does, then I can concede that Lucas tracked it, and re-edit my "Birth of the Twins" to remove the loop. EDIT: It does seem to match. 08 Padme's Ruminations

This here's the script for the part of the film where Sidious lands on Coruscant: Now, I believe, aside from an opening shot showing the shuttle approaching Coruscant (which would have been a few seconds long at most), this is all there is to the scene, and this is all that is in the film too. I am not so sure that the Sidious piece accompanying it goes there any more. It could well be that it does go in "Palpatine Instructs Anakin".

Kataah over on VGM Legacy is supposed to rip the PC version of TFU. I don't know if he'll succeed in getting HQ files or not. HOWEVER, I am a guest there, so I am bound by the rule that I cannot tell you where it is. I might have to reupload the rip myself when it does come out. EDIT: Received your copy of I Am the Senate, Trent. Actually, I thought that might be the way, but I wasn't at all sure. As both you and I have said (you via PM and me on this thread), there's a small bit missing.
-
Pretty much, yeah.

Well, you can barely hear the music in the first place for SFX anyways! What could Burtt possibly have to moan about? I think he was just miffed that lucas rejected his Conveyor Belt 'cue', and has taken resentment that John Williams' score, however hacked up it became, took precedence there. Well, now we have about 90% of "Anakin Crawling" clean (minus a small transition from the DVD I used between the Galaxies material and the new TFU recording to replace the reverb). Is there anything else useful in the Ultimate Sith Edition?
-
Nice, thanks. I'm still trying to figure it out. I can't believe how much material for I Am the Senate was cut from the film. What was Lucas thinking? or Ben Burtt for that matter?
-
It looks like they cut it short for the PS2/PSP cutscene, but that means there's probably a little more to it than what we have as well. I'm guessing it goes in this order: TFU PS2 rip music_CSDS201_07_04 0:46-1:15 Unreleased transition? TFU - Trent's recent recording "I Am The Senate" all
-
Actually, that belongs to "The Conveyor Belt - Captured" segment, as I think I told you. Everything in "New Authority" is tracked.

Battlefront II movie file: ingame 00008 (at least that's the name the ripper gave me)
-
I'm willing to wager that there will not be much in the way of new music in there (since I could just hear recomposed versions of themes already in TFU). Since the period appears to be post-TFU but pre Episode IV, I won't count too much on swathes of unreleased prequel material either.
-
barnaby64 has almost finished ripping Elite Squadron over on FFShrine. We'll know if there's new material in it or not. He's also attempting a better-quality rip of the PSP version of The Force Unleashed.

Not from what I've managed to extract (from up to archive 17), but archive 18 onwards (And I know there's music in them, because the music is listed in the TOC files) won't open in TRE Archiver.
-
I received my copy of "Galaxies: Complete Adventures" via Steam today. I amanged to get a lot of music out of it, but I can't rip some of the .TRE files with the ripper I'm using right now (TRE Archiver), and there's a few pieces that I need that I cannot get to because TRE Archiver doesn't like the TRE file I'm trying to get it to read.

I gave that a listen (somebody already ripped it), and sadly there's only the TV series music I heard in there.
-
@ Wojo - yeah. The film versions of the cue overdub with taiko drums meant only for "They're Coming Around" or "Boys into Battle". @ Luke - I believe the Taikos are real but the timpani hits over the top is synthetic.
-
I've just found that I can remove synthetic percussion from a game track by mixing an inverted-waveform version of the track from the album over the top of the game track. I tested this on "Heroes Collide" and I actually removed all percussion with it (including the light percussion in the album track). So maybe we can un-modify certain game tracks.
-
I think it's all the same as BF2. I heard the same mixes in the video of the demo.
-
What I meant was that the "A Hero Falls" video on the Musical Journey is identical to the music video featured on the Revenge of the Sith DVD, disc 2.
-
Duel of the Fates has only a few snippets of the film dialogue over it, and they're over the quiet areas we can easily substitue with the Album version. It's this same instrumental take that is used in Revenge of the Sith (of course, with the re-recorded quior) Oddly enough, Battle of the Heroes on there is actually the "A Hero Falls" Music Video.
-
Hey, I've just whipped out the DVD in the "Star Wars Episode III" soundtrack (which got delivered to me this morning). I gave a listen, and was shocked to hear that the Duel of the Fates section is NOT the same as the album take! The chorals are slightly off on it, but otherwise it seems there's less modification to it than the album version. 1:15 is not altered (after the second choral section) the same as the album, some of the instruments come through louder, and the ending is slightly differently orchestrated, suggesting that it came from another take than the album one. Have yet to listen to the rest to see if there's more differences though, I'll keep you posted.

The DS version has a slightly LQ recording of the intro to "Confrontation with Count Dooku". I've recorded it and it's definitely in stereo. There is some crackle though.

I do hope we get prequel music in the Ultimate Sith Edition but it seems unlikely as it takes place during the Galactic Civil War, or at least the alternate form of it.
