Seems she's taken the role of the Oracle too, given what Chopra said about the character 'originating in the first film'.

It's a bit too late in the day for them to announce a delay for the film... isn't it?
-
I'm hearing talk about that, actually. Gonna spoiler what I've heard just in case, but...
SpoilerApparently NWH's mid-credits will be Eddie being sent back to the SMU, but leaving part of the Symbiote behind to attach to Spider-Man. When Spider-Man comes to blows with Venom, it'll be either the SMU Spider-Man played by Tom Holland vs SMU Venom, or the MCU versions of Spider-Man and Venom, with Eddie Brock played by Tom Hardy.
Stupid to set everything up that they have and then do that, right?

Some of their scoops include all future Marvel films receiving exclusive Disney+ releases instead of theatrical releases, James Spader returning in WandaVision, and ZSJL2 being in active development. So definitely not reliable.

OST has been announced. Looks like the FYC was actually the OST minus the remixes.
QuoteThe “Exomorph Remix” of the theme was made by Johnny Kilmek and Tom Tykwer, the co-composers of The Matrix Resurrections score; the Oscar-nominated duo (huh?) of electronica musician Klimek and Run Lola Run director/composer Tykwer have worked together for over 20 years, dating back to the latter’s 1997 film Winter Sleepers.
The multi-suite “Neo and Trinity Theme” opens with an ascending ambient piece before breaking into a full-on rave over the middle third of the track. The theme — which, given its length and track list placement, would fit well in the film’s end credits — closes with a strings section before the electronica beats reemerge to bring the song to its conclusion.
In addition to Klimek and Tykwer’s 25-track score, The Matrix Resurrections soundtrack, due out Dec. 17 via Warner Bros/Watertower Music, also features remixes from artists like Marcel Dettmann, Moderna, and Thomas Fehlmann and more DJs who played a pivotal role in the underground music scene centered around the famed Berlin nightclub Berghain.

A new clip was shown during the Game Awards last night:
Another clip which provides some context (the mentioned 'first contact' in which Thomas freaks out at Morpheus for offering him the Red Pill) was shown on a talk show.
-
Wonder if it was similar to the situation that killed the Elfman/Raimi collaboration for years.
-
He says he didn't write the score but he did help out.
-
Haha, he won't, because he's either a troll, or Sony damage control.
-
Ooh, we have our first title! And that is most definitely a Giacchino pun-worthy title!
-
Joined three minutes ago, this is the only post, it's non specific about what it's supposed to be 'straight up' being and there's no actual context about what track is what on the leak since the 'tracklist' is nothing but a redditor's guesses as to what's supposed to be playing, nobody is mentioning anything here about open spoilers (because there's a thread for that, and spoiler tags are used outside of it)...
Also, Sony keeps DMCAing anybody who uploads the set. If it were fake, like the guy who's actually been creating a fake soundtrack on YouTube (he's been open about it, BTW), then they'd not bother. Sony has better things to be getting on with.
Hi, Sony rep trying to damage control!
1 hour ago, LewWho95 said:I think that was mostly due to Lucasfilm not wanting pun titles as the official track titles for what was a rather dark and serious Star Wars film.
That is a fairly good point, though he still came up with pun titles and posted them to his Instagram IIRC

It sounds like they tried to replicate Davis' piledriver sound at points, but... their use is far too subdued. Davis had those sounds mixed in quite loud, they stood out.
This really does come across as a poor person's Matrix score, way more so thaneven Erik Lundborg's Enter the Matrix does.
-
Only one time comes to mind in the last 5 years, and that's Rogue One (though he did post an alternative tracklist with pun titles IIRC)

It's weird neither Laurence Fishburne or Hugo Weaving weren't brought/asked back. Then they brought in younger actor to either portray their character or one based on it.
Weaving was asked, initially, but scheduling conflicts caused Lana to reconsider. Ironic, since he went ahead with the stage show even though filming for The Matrix Resurrections was put on hold due to COVID. He was finished with the stage show before filming resumed so scheduling conflicts were no longer an issue.
As for Fishburne, given the time jump, it's speculated that his version of Morpheus is long-dead, since he was killed in the MMO game (which at the time was billed as the official continuation)

I don't hear what you're hearing. 2:36 is two notes, then 2:38 is 3 followup notes. 2:42 is the first 2 notes again, then 2:46 is a full statement of Giacchino's Spider-man theme which reveals the "2 notes, then 3" was setting up this theme... no?
You're saying the 2 notes at 2:36 and the 2 notes at 2:42 are Sandman's theme?I think of Sandman's theme as the theme at 2:30, and 4:25, of this video
That is exactly what I am saying. It's playing at a much higher key, but I'm certain that those four french horn notes are Sandman's theme.

I hear Giacchino's Spider-man main theme at 2:36. Did you mean a different timestamp?
No. It starts with the horns doing the first four notes of Sandman's theme (usually played by Saxophone in Spider-Man 3) before going into the Giacchino Spider-Man theme.

I know what an NDA is, thank you very much. That wasn't the point of my comment.

I must say, listening to this, I'd say this is on par with Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom as far as how Giacchino implements past themes. Much better than Rogue One. It just fits together quite well, even though the themes all come from different 'musical universes', so to speak.
