  1. I just saw the film and I think the score is one of the best aspects. It sounds great in the theatre. Silver Surfer's theme/motif, which can be prominently heard in "The Light Speed of Your Life," is a standout for me. Was blown away hearing this in the film. All around, amazing job by Giacchino! One of the best scores of the year.
  2. @Maestro Forgive me if this was already answered by you ( I skimmed the thread and didn't find it). I was wondering if you interviewed or considered interviewing Michael Giacchino for this book? Considering he has scored the sequels many of JW's most well-known films, this would make for a super interesting topic on how more modern composers continued JW's legacy or were inspired by him. Super excited to read the book! And the chapter titles are amazing.
  3. As a composition student, studying JW's music offers nearly unlimited lessons in orchestration, development, and just about every other compositional technique out there. I tend to gravitate towards the Hal Leonard signature series when I can, but these are limited in terms of JW's full discography (and expensive)! Another way is to watch some of the great score reductions that exist on YouTube. I am curious to know if other methods exist and what they are.
  4. @Maestro I am very excited for the upcoming release and can't wait to purchase it!
