  1. To be honest, the appeal of Powell for me is simply how versatile he is and how not only he does great, but also really memorable music. His themes are very complex because the many times he plays with them in really different ways, plus the number of them in his movies being huge, so knowing what are his themes in each movie and listening to his variations is something really interesting to me, almost like a math test but actually fun. And as someone with really eclectic taste on music, I simply can see the appeal of each approach he uses in his movies, and enjoy each one. I like how orchestral, optimistic, fun and chaotic his music can be, while also liking how electronic, sad, dramatic, and focused his music can be.
  2. Listened to the score of Tsubame wa Modottekonai, by Evan Call. Very good work, not something I think that I will be revisiting so much as a whole, but there´s a lot of great stuff in the ost, and I liked how even in the most atmospheric parts it continued to be really melodic. Plus, the combo of a more classical approach with ocasional electronic sounds in this was very interesting.
  3. RIP, Hackman was truly incredible.
  4. Excellent movie, plus REALLY catchy and great score, I can´t get the motifs out of my head
  5. Ulrich Thomsen To Play Sinestro In HBO's 'Lanterns' His official description is: "Ruthless yet undeniably charming, Sinestro is a former Green Lantern who turned rogue. Sinestro's manipulative nature drives his enduring obsession with his former mentee, Hal Jordan”. https://deadline.com/2025/01/ulrich-thomsen-sinestro-hbo-lanterns-1236267158/
  6. I found a theme breakdown of GOTG Vol. 3.

  8. Matt Reeves Confirms ‘The Batman II’ will be filming this year. https://deadline.com/2025/01/golden-globes-batman-ii-matt-reeves-1236247216/
  9. In episode 6 of Creature Commandos, a very, very well known character appeared.
  10. I non ironically liked the start with the guitars, and the rest is… Solid. Don’t feel like it is groundbreaking or anything like that and if it was something from the movie itself it would take me out of it, but as trailer music, to be honest it’s decent. That said this is much more promising, I actually really liked his Choral parts in TSS and Guardians, and think that most of the highlights of these scores are the emotional moments.
  11. And I understand why you would be worried, but with King being one of the creative leads of the DCU and the fact that Gunn is a fan of the comic that only picked Supergirl to be the second DCU because he thought that the script was great, I think that we don’t need to be too worried.
  12. First of all, the movie isn’t being directed by Gunn, second, had you read the comic? Because Lobo could be a great replacement for one character that appears in the final issues and that’s a fine inclusion in the comic, but that would be really a problem to be used in the screen, Plus, I actually watched True Grit(2010) these days, with the novel being a influence for Woman of Tomorrow, and to be honest Lobo can totally have the role of the Texas Ranger, LaBoeuf, mixed with the one I talked about before. also.
  13. It was really good in the beginning, thought that it was going to be a bit weaker in the middle, but then was surprised by how great that and the final part was.
