Interesting that it seems to be a feature he uses in the latter statements of love themes (Marion, Han/Leia, Leia, Can You Read My Mind) in these concert arrangements, a kind of textural development on the initial statements.

Those flurrying piccolos propulsing the action music are such a JW/Jurassic Park-ism. The type of orchestration you rarely hear in modern film scoring, so it's nice to hear Desplat paying homage to JW's style.

JWFAN is an unforgiving place. Your shit needs to be together.

In a surprise twist the second season of Andor will be scored exclusively with samples from the Disney Star Wars animated series Rebels.

It was bad! Imagine all the wrong Star Wars cues with a worse orchestra/samples!

Finally finished listening through and ripping this CD yesterday, and man, what a treat.  The new musical context really allows the melodies and counterpoint to shine in a new way.  And the fact that it's a double album going beyond the usual suspects is an incredible gift.  It would have been easy to bang this out with twelve tracks of mega-hits plus Schindler, but they really went the extra mile.  I'm ready for John Williams ReIImagined!

Wallfisch would actually be perfect for a Jurassic score.  He acquitted himself rather nicely on Twisters last year and Flash before that, but his theme for Shazam! is fantastically Williams-esque, as is his Peter Pan stage score.  Sadly, the trailer for Rebirth, the recent history of the franchise, and the rumors of brutal violence in the film suggest there will be little room for Spielbergian wonder and adventure this time around.  Wallfisch can do that when he's allowed to, though.
