    Finally going through this and loving just about every note.  Honestly, I'm not sure this would have been better with Williams-penned themes.  The family theme is perfect, and the novelty of a new composer getting to play in the Jurassic theme sandbox probably gave us more new and interesting variations on Williams' themes than the Maestro himself would have given us. 
     
    I'm a part-time lover of Giacchino's flawed Jurassic scores (I own two and cherry-picked from the third), but hearing this makes me think Davis would have been the obvious choice for that series.  Someone probably said that here ten years ago, but I'm saying it now!
