His score to Phrophecy is one of my favorites and The Car is a solid effort as well, love the use of Dies Irae through it.

Saw the film today, basically it’s Kong’s Story but it was mindless Showa Style fun. The pace was good, just enough human interaction to catch your breath between the monster mayhem.
The music was a slight improvement, they used an orchestra as well this time. But there moments where it sounded like cheesy 80’s synth.
I don’t understand how they claim Godzilla’s original music wouldn’t work but then allow a lousy pastiche version to represent Godzilla and someone else.
I'm disappointed that as the films progressed they moved away from the tone of the 2014 film and Skull Island too.
I’d give this one 3 out of 5 stars.

We’re going this weekend, Easter and the NCAA tourney took up my time this past weekend.
I try too see all the Godzilla films on the big screen when possible.

First thing I did was go to the thank you section and make sure my name was spelled correctly. 😄

I wonder how much of this was a boost from Minus One, plus we never got a true sense of how much box office GvsK could have done because it was released during the Covid period.
-
Well at least the first two Godzilla monsterverse films had good scores. Can’t win em all.

Lost in Space box set.
I’m hoping that perhaps one day LLL will do a set containing only Williams’ music from the TV show sets they’ve released.

Oops missed that post. 😂
But yes the OST does indeed have the market music at the end.😄

Hmm, I’ll have to go back and listen to the original finale cue. I was looking at track titles and times on all 3 versions.

Did you just conflate the 2021 4-CD Masada with the 2024 3-CD Inchon?
I can’t believe it’s already over 2 years since it was released…. 😳

I liked some of the music he did for The Incredible Hulk series that was paired with Spiderman and his Amazing Friends back in the early 80's

A little bummed they left off the last 2 cues. I never heard the "unofficial" release but found the track list online. Plus it I need to hang on to the original Varese release since they shortened the finale.

I have the 2nd release of the Ultimate Millennium Falcon sitting here but haven't been able to build it yet.
Part of it is that my mom knew I wanted it and and before she passed, set aside the funds for me to get it.
I also have the smaller Falcon I built 8 years ago and an x-wing my daughter got me for my birthday last year.

I *adored* that train as a child, always wanted to have it. It was always too expensive, though. My first train stuff was an assortment of various 4.5V (battery) and 12V bits and pieces I "inherited" from an older kid - all the blue tracks with white sleepers you mentioned, although with the powered centre rail. Pretty sure most of it came from this set. I later got several sets from the 80s train range (with the grey tracks), though never a full train set (and never one of the newer transformers; the few grey 12V remote switches I had were hooked up to the old blue transformer with wires). I think the first new train set I got (as a present for what I think is the first Christmas I remember) was the 7810 Push-Along Steam Engine, so I'm very fond of the near-exact anniversary replica LEGO released a few years ago:
I believe I had several of these engines in the 70's. I had a huge box full of the lego tracks, when they were the blue rails and white ties. Plus quite a few of the older sets, like the station and a cargo depot. plus I had quite a few of the individual rail cars and I had a battery operated passenger train set too.

I was supposed to get mine this coming Monday but the ole USPS was speedier than their website.

Does this movie have anything to do with this song or vice versa? Because every time I see its name I hear Chris DeBurgh's voice singing "Lady in Reeeeeed..."
No, the song came out 7 years after the film.

I placed my order yesterday for both releases and I got a shipping notice from Varese a short while ago.

I vote for the last 2.

I would gladly swap out any of nominated Oscar scores for Naoki Sato’s Godzilla Minus One.
Nice to see his score was recognized by the IFMCA.
