  1. Hmmm....could this "Weebo" have been John Takis??????
  2. Joe my hat is off to you, that was a great joke. A little freaky at first but well played. No hard feelings at all, just the feeling of being had. LOL And I'm glad Ren is indeed real cause she is a very nice person and it is a pleasure to have her on the board.
  3. They are probably lost in the mail with my A.I. Promo, since he said he sent on two seperate occassions.
  4. I was wondering how much longer this joke was going to last. By the way, what ever did happen to Weebo????
  5. Cause its an April Fools Joke!!!!! -Mark, who hopes the above poster knew that.
  6. Doesn't look like Superman will be donning his cape anytime in the near future: http://movies.yahoo.com/news/va/20030327/1...4875603800.html
  7. No this is something that Peter Jackson has been trying to get going since 1996 I believe. There should be an early draft of the script floating around the net somewhere and there was a pic PJ with an early prototype sculpture of Kong & a T-Rex. Here is the announcement: http://movies.yahoo.com/news/fs/20030401/1...4923187400.html
  8. In no particular order: 1. Star Wars 2. North By Northwest 3. King Kong (1933) 4. Gojira (1954) 5. E.T. 6. Schindler's List 7. 7th Voyage of Sinbad 8. Silence of the Lambs 9. Smokey & The Bandit 10. Superman
  9. The only two CDs that I'm missing that have seen a legit release to include Varese, FSM etc as well are The Accidental Tourist and Spacecamp, although I do have CDRs of them. I had at one time the Gerdhardt re-recordings and alot of the Boston Pops cds but I've gotten rid of alot of them due to the release of the complete versions and the non related Williams material on the Boston Pops cds.
  10. That still doesn't confirm anything. It's common knowledge that Shore has said he would like to do an expanded release of the music but where is it confirmed that this is actually going to happen????
  11. The original King Kong, along with Max Steiner's wonderful score, was and still is a classic. John Barry wrote a great score for a real stinker of remake in 1976. Barry's Kong was the first soundtrack I ever owned, I remember purchasing it in 1976. I was able to find the CD to his score and I truly wish it could see an expanded re-mastered release. I would love to see Williams score this but I have mixed feelings about this re-make. My opinion of Peter Jackson went up after viewing the first 2 LOTR films, so I have faith he could pull it off but look at what happened to my beloved Godzilla and the failure of Mighty Joe Young a few years ago. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  12. My sister had this album and god it was a nightmare to listen to. Jackson was annoying and his over the top nararration was ridiculous.
  13. I'm sure they will see a release in the future. Might they see a release when the DVD's are released? It could be a possibility but I would rather wait for Nick Redman and Michael Matessino to do correctly rather than a re-recording.
  14. I'm kinda partial to OHMSS. All of them are worth getting.
  15. I agree with Joe, 2001 is one of the dullest films and one of the most overrated films in the history of cinema. The only good thing to come from it was the chance to hear Alex North's score that Kubrick threw out. I never got a chance to see Jaws in the theatre. Unfortunately I saw Jaws 3D and Jaws 4 in the theatres as well. banghead On a funny side note during Jaws 3D, what I thought was seaweed during an underwater sequence turned out to be a girl's very straggely hairdo sticking up in my vision. I almost touched it like we tend to do in 3D films. That would have brought a scream.
  16. Because the Grammys have a different window for music to be eligible.
  17. Yeah but unfortunately John Leguizamo (spelling?) made an embarrassment out of himself. Leonard Bernstein is probably rolling over in his grave. Why do they always pick the buffoons to introduce moments like that?
  18. LOTR is well deserving. Unfortunately the rest of the show is a joke with what they call music. Modern music is in a sad state.
  19. I guess Zimmer is ok if you like someone pounding on a synth for 60 mins.
  20. Apparentley she must be somewhat deaf as she failed to recognize Micheal Kamen's recycling of Die Hard in Lethal Weapon, using most of the same material in all 3 Die Hards and all 4 Lethal Weapons. Basically those scores sound all the same. Listen to the main titles for Robin Hood and then the Main theme for From The Earth To The Moon.
  21. My Oscar predictions are: The Two Towers Catch Me if you Can The Road to Perdition Frida Far From Heaven I don't know if Chicago could qualify, but it might sneak in there. Signs is basically JNH doing his best Bernard Herrmann & Jerry Goldsmith imitation. Kinda disappointed in this score. Not as good as the hype. Star Trek Nemesis being mentioned for a nomination is a joke, I mean seriously listen to it, all of the music had that been there- heard that already feeling. Williams could sneak in with Minority Report but I doubt it.
