About Me

|~•~| Hello to All |~•~|

It seems that you've stumbled onto my profile page, here at JWFan.com. Don't fret! As you can tell by my super fancy greeting [located towards the northern most portion of the article], all are welcome! Through this fantastic site and discussion forum, I am able to converse with so many more people than would be normally possible. For that, I am extremely grateful. Now that the kudos and congratulations have been taken care of, let's move on to a possible more interesting subject of interest: Me. :)

To begin, I have a secret to unveil [Cue: Timpani Roll]. My real name is not Compos24. However, in the true spirit of pretention and overestimated self-worth, I will not reveal it here. Sorry folks! However, don't let that discourage you from communicating with me. I'm always up for a discussion, preferably on the topic of music. To a more specific degree, on the subject of film music. My love of music has led me toward the study of the fine art itself. I am currently a student working towards the completion of my degree. I am a double-major in Music Composition/Music Theory and Musicology. In composition, I am focusing my energies on Film Music Composition. I have scored a few small student/art films, but theses have been under the direction of friends - hardly the average atmosphere of the working world. I can play most instruments, with varying skill on each. My major instrument(s) are the Saxophone and Bassoon. For further information regarding my education, feel free to contact me. I don't know how you would find yourself in such a curious state. However, the floor is always open.

I have always enjoyed score study. I have enjoyed it ever since I was able to read music. On an interesting note, I didn't really become involved with music until I entered the 7th grade. I liked to look over our ensemble director's scores, even then. However, at such an early in my musical development, I obviously couldn't grasp most of what I was looking at. Think of it as "reading a book" by only perusing through the pictures. I have certainly matured on a considerable scale. In fact, the analysis/study of musical scores has become a passionate hobby of mine. To my astonishment and excitement, I've discovered the trade of film music. Through great forums such as these, I am able to learn and adapt what great masters before me have created. I only consider trades that are for the pursuit of knowledge - not for profit! I also do not mind trading soundtracks. I understand what it is like to have an insatiable craving for music, even when a tight budget constrains. I am always willing to help people out in those regards. If you ask around, I am sure that you will here that I am very generous. At least, I feel I am more generous than some people here [ No disrespect to any trader! ]. In fact, I don't always require a returning trade. If you have nothing to offer, then that is fine by me. However, if you do have something that I would like to study or listen to, I hope that you would be happy to return such generosity back to me. I only have one general rule: if you have been labeled as a bad trader [i.e., you don't deliver on the items that you have promised individuals], then I will NOT barter with you. I am very firm about this. This can not become a forum where certain individuals merely use others for personal gain, and I for one will do everything in my power to see that it does not undergo such a disfiguration. Though this all may seem a little intense, don't be frightened away from me. You can ask others who have traded with me to gain a perspective closer to your own. It is probably more helpful than for me to sit and tell you how great I am.

In summary, I am generally a nice guy. I may have an affinity for the darker side of comedy [i.e., sarcasm, self-deprication, etc.], but I never intend to hurt others. As I review my outline for the 'About Me' page, I see that I am running out of material to use. As I've stated before, if you have any questions about me, about my life, about my music or any other topic, always feel free to inquire. I'm always looking for a good discussion or debate. I look forward to hearing from as many people as possible. Have a fantastic day, and always keep listening...
