Nobody pays attention to you unless you swear every other word.

So John Williams wrote the "Palace Source Music", too?
This is what I am wondering. Everything musical within me says that he didn't, but it seems to have been implied that he did.
-
It's because some of you focus on the cringeworthy scenes (like the Anakin and Padme kissing scene) .There's still a lot of cool stuff in that film
The only "cool" thing in there is Christopher Lee who manages to make that silly dialogue sound somewhat presentable.
And the worst part of RotS is how fast Christopher Lee is gone...
-
Oh, yeah. Cool melody. I really like this theme. Actually, there are quite a few different parts to it, aren't there?
-
Actually I found it all rather silly. It would have made more sense if Anakin had actually mortally wounded her when he choked her.
The fact that the entire galaxy went into 20 years of Imperial rule because some whiny twit of a kid stalked / practically forced himself on some young woman who went from being a 14 year old, intelligent queen to a dumb senator who lost all common sense is just.....lame.
I don't try to defend it.....I just like it.

Actually, I like the idea and, like KM said, the overall story-arch so much that I enjoy it anyways.
Of course, I think we all agree Anakin could have been better...
-
Would be if it was never recorded

I want sheet music!

-
What is the B section of that theme?
-
ROTS, no doubt.
No doubt?

KotCS isn't that bad, is it?
No, RotS is that good.
I voted RotS by the way.
-
Just to prove Joey's assessment of my taste 'correct', I will say that I really like the melodramatic sadness of Padme's story and the way it plays out in RotS.
-
Sorry about that, Koray. It gets lonely when your there by yourself.
Anyway, I'm there now....for the moment.
-
Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification.
-
How badly crucified do you think I would be if I said the Dark Knight?
It would be pretty bad, yeah. Stick with KotCS.

-
And no, that is not the most stupid thing I have ever said here, because I'm keeping track.

-
So did anyone ever find out anything else about this?
-
Switch that 'bad' to a 'good', and I think you might be on to something.
-
I don't even waste my time with Horner anymore. Titanic was probably the last score of his I bought.
Same.
Hmmm...
Even King Mark thought Spiderwick was pretty good.
It was.
-
Indeed. I finally got a around to downloading it, and it is not included.
Anyone want to help a poor soul out?
Edit: Thanks, Morlock!
-
At least he knows the repertoire...
-
I am 100% sure that you are lying. 89% of the population account their "on the spot" statistics with 100% real studies.
Half the time.
-
Yeah, this is the kind of stuff that makes me hate the Academy. If they bend their own rules, why not just permanently change them so there will be no bending??
TDK will get nominated for score, I am now sure of it. Whether it will win is another story, I still need to see the other noms. At this point, these could all be possible noms:
The Dark Knight
The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button
Frost/Nixon
Defiance
WALL*E
Revolutionary Road
Che
Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
Hmm, I can't think of anything else. That's 8 scores, 5 of which are by only 3 different composers

What about QoS and Horton Hears A Who?
-
-
I don't watch movies; I listen to scores.
Well, I guess I watch movies sometimes....
-
Like Colin said, his mother probably kept her maiden name. Don't forget about Rupert Gregson-Williams!

That being said, why would it pass on to the son? In every instance I've ever seen (except maybe the Conan-Doyle reference), the son simply has the father's last name.
That would be a good solution to the problem. But I think I have actually heard of someone with three names hyphenated into one, which is what makes me think it is not a good idea.
-
(hoping this will not turn political) After about five generations of this, and five names tagged on, things will get, shall we say, complicated. Poor person...

It really bothers you that people are bothered by profanity, Quint?
Hmm, well, I am really bothered by the fact that you are bothered by people being bothered by it.
