  1. Been trying for about a week. That's a good idea to try the FSM board. I'll track 'em down eventually!
  2. "Do you skip the Fox fanfare when listening to SW albums/bootlegs?" No, absolutely not. What am I, a savage?
  3. La-La Land is struggling recently. That big batch of Trek I ordered, they crammed them all into a box that was too small, and the result of that was three cases with busted teeth on multiple trays. The bunch of Friday the 13ths I got today, they sent me Part 1 instead of Part 2. Sheesh.
  4. Women can't solve puzzles and/or have poor spatial abilities?
  5. Judging from some of the asinine comments I've read, there are probably several people here who interpret this to be proof of sexism against men.
  6. I don't think there should be a push to nominate more female composers, but there should be a massive push to get more females composing jobs in the first place. That's always been too much of a boys' club. Take care of that, and the nominations will follow.
  7. It must have embarrassed La-La Land as well, given the amount of time it's taking for them to ship it...
  8. Williams' diet is to chew up inspiration and crap out genius.
  9. I trust John Williams to know where that line is much more readily than for you to know where it is on his behalf. Williams is a populist a large chunk of the time; it makes complete sense for him to have done this piece for a live event that was watched by millions upon millions of people.
  10. I reckon it's John Williams's business to determine what is and what isn't beneath his dignity. Something tells me that if he thought this was, he wouldn't have accepted the job. Therefore, it isn't. Simple!
  11. I'd be embarrassed to tell anyone the amount of Star Trek I ordered from La-La Land recently.
  12. It wasn't released theatrically, so no. He scored "John Goldfarb, Please Come Home." So yes, you are crazy.
  13. THIS is what John Williams sounds like. Remember when that one guy thought the music in the Dial of Destiny trailer might have actually been Williams? lol
  14. Everyone who'd write a book about his music loves the music so much they ain't got time to stop listening to it and write a book.
  15. I suspect I'll end up finishing it someday. Regardless, I hope it's been a hit; I'll never not have an affection for the movie, and this sequel can only have helped it carry over into a new generation.
  16. I gave up on this show after three episodes. It's not bad, I just don't have much use personally for a fantasy show where everyone talks as though they are in 2022.
  17. If it's an expanded Bond score, I'll be buying it no matter where they look next. Jesus, even if it's, like, Never Say Never Again. But I'd imagine the Craig era probably makes the most sense.
  18. I'll be picking this up for sure, since I collect King-movie soundtracks. Solid score, too.
  19. Same. I might pick up Chaplin while I'm at it; hard to go wrong with John Barry.
