  1. Is GREMLINS the first CD with the WaterTower Classics logo on it?
  2. From previous experience he'll make Streitenfeld rewrite most of his work then track half the film with A GOOD YEAR and BODY OF LIES.
  3. I agree. But it's mostly the extra scenes and dialogue regarding Ripley's daughter - the scene where Burke tells her, and the extended medlab scene - which take it from subtext to text. Hate it.
  4. Are there still people who hold Clemmensen's reviews in any regard?
  5. Yes, it's great. It's funny, it's like a cross between suburban Americana (almost as a pisstake of POLTERGEIST and E.T.) and Looney Tunes, with a healthy dose of Christmassy overtones. You know that scene in GREMLINS 2 when they take over the film? Musically, it's almost like that at times. Great fun, with some real heart behind it and some great (and hilarious) writing.
  6. And even the origins of that film are, shall we say, controversial. I think Raimi got pulled into Hollywood too much. He's best at low-budget horror/thrillers. That said, DARKMAN is better than all of his Spider-Man movies and it still had a high budget. John Carpenter, I'm not sure. Maybe his heart left the business.
  7. GREMLINS (fsm) - It's beautiful, it's so great compared to that terrible boot, lovely for it to have a proper airing. Never realised there were so many electronic elements in the score proper, I thought they were mainly in the rag.
  8. STAR TREK GENERATIONS BATMAN & ROBIN (at all would be nice) JAWS 2 RATATOUILLE REVENGE OF THE SITH
  9. The majority of that category will be made up of Glee and the soundtrack to Pulp Fiction.
  10. I agree, although I find it harder to quantify with music as I do with films, probably because I've spent far more time studying the latter, both personally and academically. There are a ton of films I understand are of a good quality, but it doesn't mean I like them.
  11. For a second I thought John was wearing a Nike dinner jacket.
  12. Whatever the score it's nice to see some more Kamen out there. Now if we could just have the Lethal Weapons...
  13. Not anything in any depth. TIMELINE and STAR TREK NEMESIS have a page or two by Robert Townson, LOONEY TUNES has a page by Joe Dante.
  14. It just feels very small and intimate, especially being diegetic.
  15. My favourite is still 'Superstar'. Beautiful sadness.
