  1. I love all three. THE FINAL CONFLICT is easily one of my favourite scores ever. I need to get DAMIEN though.
  2. Regarding "The Birds of Charlemagne", is the soft quote of theRaiders March after Henry explains tracked in? The boot I have has a different ending.
  3. Not a huge fan of the show post-season 2, but adieu and farewell, Sir Tennant. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7698539.stm
  4. I find it more interesting that "Uncovering The Ark" has one asterisk next to it, instead of the previously-unreleased-on-CD bit. Unless that's a typo. Forgive me if that's been mentioned. I've only just got the net back, as well as fathering a son, so I've been finding it tricky to completely catch up.
  5. The 2nd best ever written. 1. Aliens.* 2. Predator.* *Not conclusive, but off the top of my head they're better than any Rambo score. 1. Raiders of the Lost Ark. I have a love/hate relationship with ALIENS. Like Elfman's BATMAN, there are certain portions I love, but a lot of it bores me. Bishop's Countdown is an essential cue, though.
  6. I will second this. I am also a huge fan of THE FOG.
  7. I managed to get a copy too, from Demonoid. It's nice to see the full TOD finale/end credits is on there, even if it is the rare 1985 Meco interpretation.
  8. This thread is awesome. Whether the set has the correct TOD end credits or not, there is nothing I am looking forward to more than this boxset.
  9. Ouch. I'd buy it if it was cheaper. I'd prefer if it made it onto iTunes though.
  10. Return To The Village and Saving Willie/Short Round Helps. Finally, Underground Heroics in full (I hope).
  11. Like I said, The Motion Picture is on a pedestal so high that anybody who holds it there can't accept any smack-talk from the young'uns that suggests otherwise. And rightfully so.
  12. Gah. I recently lost my DCC and was planning on replacing it with this.
  13. I'm confused. Are we saying Indy Rides The Statue won't have the music for him riding the statue i.e. the action motif followed by the quick Raiders March refrain? I preordered this today. Been a little busy of late, so I'm trying to catch up with everything.
  14. Bernstein's AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON. Like my wife, very short but still awesome.
  15. Boy, the internet just keeps throwing up surprises. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKZC0SuvS6s
  16. That's what it's like for me. There are fewer and fewer stores that will stock any kind of good soundtracks, and even HMV and Virgin's sections are now down to bare minimums. I went out last weekend with the one intention of buying some soundtracks, and couldn't find one thing I wanted.
  17. I voted for MASTER & COMMANDER. It's like Star Trek II, only with boats. And no Khan.
  18. I watched my favourite DS9 episode the other day, "Call To Arms," and I had no idea it was scored by John Debney. That was some fine music, especially the finale.
  19. I'm the same. I think MOTP has the best score of a Batflick though. I don't consider Burton's flicks on the same level as Schumacher's, but I just fell out of love with them a long time ago (same with the scores). Schumacher's... well, I love FOREVER's score. And Drew Barrymore in lingerie.
  20. ZODIAC by David Shire. Great film, top score. Need to get more of his stuff.
  21. Yeah, in 'Anakin Is Free.' That always stood out to me, even more so with the Episode I Insider's Guide CD-ROM that came out with the movie, as one of the menus played that little second repeatedly. I'm not sure whether it's a good cameo or not, but part of the main title from JAWS 3-D shows up in a fishing scene in a John-Candy-on-vacation flick, either SUMMER RENTAL or THE GREAT OUTDOORS. Always thought that was an interesting choice, as opposed to the obvious choice.
  22. The "director's edition" of ALIEN is the 79 theatrical cut. Scott has explained that the DC label is for marketing purposes only. I can remember all of the names from both ALIEN and ALIENS, and remember who they are and when they appear (even down to Dietrich and Wierzbowski). I don't know whether it's because they're memorable or I've watched them so many times, but ALIEN's characters always seem more believable. ALIENS' characters, as previously mentioned, seem more like they're in a film. It's suitable for the film they're in, so I don't see it as a huge negative point, as they work for that type of movie. It's not just a type of movie I really prefer.
