  1. Just put the DVD mono track onto an mp3 player and take it with you, problem solved.
  2. With two children I don't get the chance to go to the cinema often, so I tend to wait for blu-ray. Unless I positively have to see the film at the cinema or we get a rare occasion where our babysitter can take both kids, we wait. Luckily WH is on blu-ray next month.
  3. WH. I've listened to Tintin twice and enjoyed it neither times. Have listened to WH a few times and loved it. Haven't seen WH the film but enjoyed Tintin a lot.
  4. Yes, the theme does deserve more love, being Williams' first love theme for the Star Wars saga and all. Yeah, I mean -- wait, what?
  5. Yes. Which in hindsight I can understand why you didn't quote it.
  6. Given the topic of conversation, perhaps 'Meditate on this, I will' was in order?
  7. It's a nice theme but it's just used way too much, so when it's used in moments when it's supposed to be impactful, it doesn't really work. But I really like some of the motifs and non-thematic material in the score. The Coruscant chase is aces, and the Kamino music is really nice, and the mysterious detective music.
  8. It's essentially a slasher movie, which is great. Has a nice serious tone to it and Scheider is great. I like that he goes all out to show the shark from the first attack.
  9. I'd buy the lot. Hell, I nearly bought the boxset of 2, 3 and TR (that I already have) in Asda the other day because it has a new 3-D esque cover. I'm not Jaws-obsessed... honest.
  10. I love that JAWS 2 is coming as well. When JAWS was first confirmed, Universal also said JAWS 3-D was coming on BD3D. I'm also waiting for the Universals, especially THE WOLF MAN and THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN.
  11. No, it's just Star Wars he didn't give a shit about. Spider-Man is a relative newcomer to the Avengers, this is the original line-up.
  12. I wrote a ton about the whole series when RISE came out, if anyone fancies reading it. http://www.lostinthemultiplex.com/extras/features/item/256-retread-of-the-planet-of-the-apes-part-4.html
  13. RDJ is the one thing I'm not looking forward to (can't stand Iron Man). But as a fan of Thor, Captain America and Scarlett Johannsen's bottom, I am excited.
  14. Avengers Assemble is only used in the UK. Because we're too stupid to tell the difference between a superhero film and an old BBC TV show/film.
  15. Yeah - I'd like to be able to buy it where I don't have to pay international shipping charges - or any at all. But still... great release.
  16. I hope this is available in the UK. I'm getting tired of having to order CDs from other continents because they're not being released here.
  17. I think Avengers will go close but I like Quint says, I think the only thing to really challenge Dark Knight will be The Hobbit.
  18. I disagree. While certainly entertaining, for me it's still an intentional heady SF movie dressed up as an adventure movie, similar to what Star Trek used to do. The twist just serves to turn the subtext into text.
  19. I hope I won't be thinking about Shore when I hear Newton Howard's replacement score.
  20. Listening back, it's interesting how the prequel one sounds almost identical to the ESB recording.
