  1. I've always adored his love theme from "Troy", quite underrated in my opinion. Even if it was seemingly inspired by an earlier piece of his from "Glory", it's still gorgeous (10:17 in the video): I still can't believe this.
  2. This doesn't even feel real. Titanic, Troy, Avatar, and so many more... don't even know what to say.
  3. Those pictures are 16:9 and low res, which makes me think they may be screencaps from a video.
  4. Imagine if he did the Force Awakens trailers live? That'd be something.
  5. I'm so, so hoping the "Luke and Leia" theme gets the amount of use it deserves. Such an amazing theme, and so barely used.
  6. This definitely deserves a mention. Beautiful piece. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkLXejhSY1M
  7. I've always loved this piece!! It's brilliant. Nice to see a thread about this corner of the film score world. I started a thread a while ago about specifically Middle Eastern influenced scores, the suggestions in there might be appealing: http://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18269 (hard to believe I posted that five years ago...)
  8. I'm going tonight!!! It's always been an annual tradition to see him in Boston, which I did back in early June, but seeing as how I'm out here in Hollywood for a summer internship, I couldn't pass this up!! So weird and epic seeing him twice in a year, on both coasts. I'm so excited!!!
  9. Just got back from tonight's show! Great fun as always, and I had great seats (front row, nearly center)! Can't wait for next year. It's just a shame those eBay low-life's have made Williams so reluctant to sign autographs. It used to be so easy to get an autograph and picture with him. Still, that aside, it was a WONDERFUL evening!!!
  10. Wasn't this already semi-confirmed back in May with his "Wheaties" speech in Boston? Still, glad to see it's now ultra-official!! Hopefully he brings back all the themes that would fit. I'd get chills if I heard new statements of Luke and Leia!!!
  11. When it's the beautiful Titanic theme with Jack and Rose "flying", then an immediate cut to Psycho's shower scene, it's gonna get some laughs. lol
  12. The broadcast of the Saturday recording started! http://www.wgbh.org/995/bso.cfm
  13. Oh cool! That's the show I was at. Did you record any other pieces?
  14. Last night was AMAZING!!!!! I met a few fellow JWFan-ers, we all got autographs when Williams arrived. The concert itself was incredible ("The Adventures of Mutt" wasn't on the program, but was performed before "Marion's Theme" anyway). My mom and I go to one of the Film Night concerts every year, it's something of a tradition for both of us, and this year we decided to get seats literally right in front of Williams' podium (we usually get balcony). Seeing him RIGHT THERE was breathtaking, the music sounded strikingly close, the projected videos looked immense, and I even met the woman in charge of cuing the videos, who was very nice and apparently works closely with Williams (and told me she wrote the lyrics to "Duel of the Fates"...? Maybe she was one of the translators). I know that's not much of a review, but so much of the concert itself has been covered in detail so there's not much I can add to that. I didn't get to have my program signed or a get picture with Williams after the show (he signed a little boy's program who was right in front of me but then moved on... maybe he recognized me from before and wanted to give others a chance? Which would be fair of course). While he was signing the boy's autograph, I did thank him for the amazing concert, but he didn't reply to that, it was a bit strange. He didn't stay out there for more than two minutes either. But overall I can't complain at all, I still got an autograph, was front row, and just overall had an absolutely amazing time. Can't wait for next year!! I'll post pics later.
  15. Met him coming in!!! No time for pictures, but he signed my Empire Strikes Back vinyl! Hoping to get a pic after the concert.
  16. That sucks. ----- Anyone know what time Williams gets to the Hall? When he goes inside through the stage door?
  17. How did they even see her filming? Like was she being obvious about it?
  18. So great he came out after! He didn't last year. Now I'm even more excited!
  19. Did he come out the stage door after? Or did he not do that like last year?
  20. I wish I could be with you guys Saturday! Post lots of details (if you meet him and stuff) so I know what to expect on Tuesday!
  21. I'll be going to the Tuesday show, so I think I'll be missing you guys.
  22. Last year was the first year he didn't come out for autographs and pictures after the concert by the stage door, due to the scumbags you made a habit of waiting outside for autographs not for themselves, but to sell on ebay without even attending the concert. But every concert I attended before last year, he always came out (thus where my avatar is from).
