  1. Daisy? Cate? Who are you? So I guess you're my new muse? I'll write a theme for you.
  2. I would like to know more about the two versions of the Patriot out there. Keith Lockhart's is different than the FSO version. Which is revised? Has Williams ever conducted either?
  3. Almost 2 decades old, and this is still one of the most arresting opening sequences to get an audience into the action. The music, the changing camera perspectives, the sounds of the starfighters. I'm finding myself missing George Lucas making Star Wars.
  4. Have any other SW productions used actual publicity photos? I thought it was amusing to see a ROTS promotional image for his wanted poster.
  5. Just tossing out an idea after watching Stranger Things. Obviously not for Obi-Wan, but I wonder if an 80s style all synth score could work for the right Star Wars project?
  6. It’s interesting how much we forget that Lloyd’s look and performance set the template for the behavior of the Klingons for Next Gen and beyond (more than TMP did). Shatner’s performance in III is pretty good actually. Really, he stepped up for all of the Trek movies.
  7. Always thought her costume looked like raw steak 🥩
  8. I'm naive as they come, but this is just trolling, right?
  9. Listening to the Main Title to The Lost World today, it struck me how it could easily pass as an Indiana Jones theme like Parade of the Slave Children. I would love something like this for 5.
  10. The Genesis cacti with snow is wonderful. I'm a big fan of sets instead of location for fantasy films. I don't always need the environment to seem real.
  11. Can we talk about Bail Organa's scenes? They're easily some of my favorite. His relationship as a father is utterly charming and heartwarming, a side of the character we knew was there, but never really got to see. He's delightful with Leia, and it warmly reminds me of their relationship as performed in the legendary Star Wars Radio Drama. I'm finally feeling like we got the Bail Organa I always wanted. Jimmy Smits looks older here than 10 years later in Rogue One though. Aging in Star Wars is all over the place, nothing new there. Even Palpy looked older in AOTC then ROTS. If Carrie Fisher were alive, I think she would be so happy with this. And Joel Edgerton is also one of the high points. He's believably more gruff and gristled after 10 years of adulting on Tatooine. He's as compelling as Ewan, and we can thank George for casting characters that had such potential to age physically and as actors to embody their future selves. These bits were superb.
  12. @Obi Any chance you could post yours without the Natalie Holt credit? I'd like to use your custom art for just the Williams suite.
  13. I love it. It’s probably just me, but after humming it for a while, it somehow morphs into the theme for The Lost World in my brain.
  14. I do too. I also love laughing every time I see that Looney Tunes style cliff break off and watch it drop slowly, the forklift out of frame.
  15. I’m embarrassed to confess, after seeing the movie a hundred times, I usually get bored after they leave the Genesis Planet. Incredibly underrated movie though. It is a beautifully lensed adventure.
  16. It’s a little weird to me that we even need these. I know what show I clicked on.
  17. No complaints at all, Stu? If not, that’s awesome! I loved most of it. But have some difficulty with how soft some of the action and performances felt. I hope it gets better. For example I adore Star Wars. I’m the guy who loves Rise of Skywalker and Book of Boba. But I’m expecting a higher standard with these Legacy characters. The last time we saw Ewan in the role, it was some of the most heartbreaking and dramatic moments of the entire saga. So there’s got to be a very good reason to go further with Obi and Ani, other than to say because they could and the actors were on board.
  18. It’s textbook Heroe’s Journey to This would’ve been better as a 2.5 hour movie.
