  1. R.I.P., Mr. Wallin, and thank you for all that you have done, for film music.
  2. "What are you packing?" (shows Walther PPK) (signs) "Tut, tut, tut" (shows pump-action shotgun)
  3. Is this what JWfan has become? Fuck it, I'm going over to FSM.
  4. LA DOLCE VITA. It's a bit like Bergman, but with occasional laughs.
  5. Each of us, at some time in our lives, turns to a father, a brother, a JWfaner, and asks: "A choice between a crappy song and a not-so-crappy song? Is this all that there is? Is there nothing more?"
  6. Apparently, Daniel Day Lewis is coming out of retirement, for "Sir" () Christopher Nolan's next wank fest film.
  7. QUANTUM OF SOLACE is my favourite Arnold score for a Bond film, and my second favourite Arnold score, overall. I wish that 'Crawl, End Crawl' had a physical release. The film has gone up in my estimation, since 2008. It's now among my favourite Bond films.
  8. "Four stones, four crates. Zero stones, ZERO CRATES!!!!!"
  9. "'Visionaries'. Psychiatric wards are full of them."
  10. I love the way that Bond motions to Kira to drive the Jeep into the Hercules... then rolls his eyes when she doesn't understand.
  11. Ooh! I have this on DVD ("... offering unparalleled sound and vision", it says 'ere). I shall watch, asap, if only for the score. I'm not a huge fan of Studio Ghibli, but I am partial to THE WIND RISES, so I look forward to hearing Hisaishi's music.
  12. "Back... and to the left. Back... and to the left. Back... and to the left."
  13. You keep his name outta your f***ing mouth! (in case you thought that I was insulting you)
  14. Are you joking?! At my age, it's easily a 3-piss movie
  15. A very sad quote, but also one of my favourites: "I'm not in the business... I am the business."
  16. Indeed. What I meant was that most scores these days are a copy of a copy of a copy. There is nothing truly "original".
  17. A return to the respect and reverence that Donner had for the material, would be a good start. A score by JW wouldn't go a miss, either.
