  1. What on Earth is wrong with ZODIAC?
  2. I've just had a gander at The Mouse's site, and I've looked at the disc. It doesn't look very inspiring, but at least it doesn't have INDIANA JONES AND THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST bleeding ARK, splashed all over it. I shudder to think what it might sound like, but this is not meant to be played, is it.
  3. Agreed, Sweep. Maybe it's me, but I always thought that the "heroin" sequence was a bit of a narrative cul-de-sac. He gets pumped, he gets high, he comes down, he carries on. Other than that, it's a good, and typically muscular, Frankeheimer film.
  4. In the mid-'80s, there was a TV show called MARLOWE, starring Powers Boothe. It's different, in style, from THE LONG GOODBYE, but it's worth checking out.
  5. I'm glad that NHR&TE is still going. Do you remember Cheapo Cheapo Records, just off of Piccadilly Circus? There's two or three really record shops, in Soho: Sister Ray and Reckless, in Berwick St., and Phonica, in Poland St. If you want to go a bit further out, there's Adrian's Records, and Wickford.
  6. How good will it look on a 32" telly? 😄
  7. @Tom Guernsey, you really need to hear Prefab's JORDAN: THE COMEBACK, SWOON, STEVE MCQUEEN, and FROM LANGLEY PARK TO MEMPHIS. They are all towering pieces of pop personification. What do you think of Hanlon's version of The Good Life, as heard in GANGSTER #1?
  8. It looks like DUNE, but I don't think they're any motorcycles, on Arrakis.
  9. No, no, no. It's French, so it's pronounced "Ze Keetbag".
  10. Good stuff @crocodile. It's the original JCS...and the best. As a friend of mine once said "There's only one Jesus Christ, and it's Ian Gillan"
  11. Agree with @publicist and @Thorregarding THE TAMARIND SEED. It seems to sound like someone apeing Barry. Still, I'd take it over countless modern scores.
  12. Aye, it did, but I don't rate that story as high as Asylum...
  13. It's a different vibe, for The Divine Comedy. I like it. I've always wondered what a Neil Hanlon/Paddy McAloon collaboration would sound like.
  14. You utter lech! . I agree, btw . It was great to see the kick-ass Special Weapons Dalek, in Asylum.... It caused some serious damage, in Remberence...
  15. @pixie_twinkle, The Flux is "a step up in quality". It's gone from shit, to crap. I'd rather watch The Twin Dilemma, than this tripe.
  16. I haven't seen the latest episode, but...if time is in flux, then where do the Weeping Angels send their victims? Thor, you've seen every surviving episode in history
