  1. If you were forced to cut 45 minutes out of your film, it could well end up looking like LEGEND. The biggest wtf, was hearing PSYCHO II. ISABEL COMES BACK is pretty darn good.
  2. What didn't you like about it, and what did you not like about it? The Dress Waltz is still stunning, as is Darkness' entrance.
  3. Believe me, the extended cut is much better. It's no masterpiece, but it's much better.
  4. Far from it, Stu. Both are truly original, but I really like the Edwardian feel of HOWARDS END. I've got just one question: what are "dry goods"?
  5. ...and what about LTK, which was just 13 years old (or could they not do that because it's owned by MCA?) MOONRAKER was one of the most expensive, and successful films ever, when released. One would have thought that that was reason enough to preserve the score. We do...
  6. Where are the MOONRAKER tapes? Aren't they languishing somewhere in a Paris studio?
  7. Wha'???!!!!! How can an upside-down, back-to-front Luke's Theme be overdeveloped????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. The film is bona fide fuckng masterpiece! The HOWARDS END score just takes it from TROTD.
  9. Do you like games? Is your wife a goer? Eh? Eh? Nudge-nudge, wink-wink, say no more!
  10. Idiot. I could tell you who he is, but that wouldn't really tell you who he is.
  11. Which one's better? Its like being asked to choose between death by being burned at the stake, or death by being disemboweled. They're both terrible.
  12. If INSIDE THE MOTHERSHIP is a rerecording (and I'm not convinced that it is) are there any recording details concerning the original recording?
  13. Would INSIDE THE MOTHERSHIP get on any complete CE3K? There are performance (and probably publishing) issues.
  14. In 1978, she was leader of the opposition. She didn't seize power - oops, I meant didn't get elected - until May, '79.
  15. I assume that JW scored the "what's wrong, Lou?" scene?
  16. Both JAWS, and JAWS 2 were released on a Boxing Day. If released in Summer '78, JAWS 2 would have gone up against STAR WARS, and THE WILD GEESE. In those days, wide releases were not heard of.
  17. Wouldn't know about the actual release-dates of the OSTs, but I remember buying them, as they came out, JAWS 2 as an import. I saw SUPERMAN on December 16, in London, and bought the OST the next week. JAWS 2 had a UK release-date of December 26, 1978, and went wide the following January. I saw THE FURY at the cinema, but I couldn't guess when.
