Naïve Old Fart got a reaction from The Illustrious Jerry in What Is The Last Score You Listened To? (older scores)
STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE.
No words. Truly, no words can adequately describe my awesome respect, for this score. Haunting, mysterious, beautiful, energetic, and, at the climax, downright majestic. It is among the finest single pieces of work ever composed, for the cinema, and I envy any JWfan, who hasn't yet heard it: you are in for an amazing experience.

Naïve Old Fart got a reaction from Jay in New Jerry Goldsmith Projects in 2019?
Frankly, Jay, it's among his finest. It's energetic, tender, tense, soaring, and triumphant. In short: everything the film isn't. It's Jerry's JAWS 2.
It's also #6 on my all-time top-Jerry list.

Naïve Old Fart got a reaction from Unlucky Bastard in John Barry's HOWARD THE DUCK - NEW! 3CD Intrada Edition
The complete score, and alternates, and all the songs, and the OST?! Oh, wow!
An instant purchase, of a forgotten Barry classic, with some great Thomas Dolby tunes, thrown in.
Thanks, for posting, Jay!

Naïve Old Fart got a reaction from Sweeping Strings in The Doctor Who Thread.....
Chris Eccleston made one series of DOCTOR WHO, for the Beeb. He only intended to make one series, and this was as a favour to RTD for casting him in THE SECOND COMING. While I have every sympathy for Mr. Eccleston, and his current condition, I am curious to know why he never mentions it, while filming ELIZABETH, or OUR FRIENDS IN THE NORTH, or LET HIM HAVE IT, or LEGEND? Why? What happened on DW had nothing to do with his condition.

I wish we had more stripped down stuff like this from Kate Bush's vocal prime.
Amazed at how she colors her voice as the lyrics direct.

Whenever things go wrong (which, in my life, is quite often), I'm apt to declare "Why didn't I build in Orlando".
