  1. What's wrong with the Cappacino fella? I like his Medal of Honor stuff.
  2. Black Beauty - my favourite Elfman score but it's out of print and hard to find. I'd have more luck finding buried treasure in the Caribbean than finding this. Godzilla - I have the Oscar bootleg, but there are still many fine cues missing. Troy - Yarad's score might be worth hearing. The Witches of Eastwick - I want! I want! Raiders of the Lost Ark - I saw many copies of this at Grace Bros. back in early 2001, but I've been back since and they're all long gone. I should have got one then but I had no money. Boo hoo.
  3. I remember about 7 or 8 years ago, there were always movies I wanted to see. Every year was like an event to look forward to. But now, most movies that come out don't hold my interest. Is there something wrong with me or the movies they bring out now? Most of them these days seem so repetitive of what I've already seen before.
  4. I'll always remember her as Scotty's best pal in Vertigo.
  5. Really? Melange - Vexed....i'm terribly vexed There's nothing nicer than that piece when you're by the ocean.
  6. finally.. musik by a REAL composer!11111!!!!11!1
  7. I have The Green Mile and Road to Perdition. They're dust collectors.
  8. What's great is back in early 2002, I read the first four books together in one week, now I'll finally have four decent film versions of those realized (for now, I'll assume Goblet of Fire will be a good movie), which was my only wish at the time of reading them. If the fifth film is as good, that'll be a bonus.
  9. Jerry the Cat... meet Jerry the Parrot.
  10. Basil can do anything. Hollywood should be embarassed that they don't employ him often anymore. Heck, sometimes people I know reckon RoboCop was done by Jerry Goldsmith. To the untrained ear, the composers' music is interchangable.
  11. I'm keen on buying Twilight Zone: The Movie from whoever isn't interested in it anymore.
  12. Used to be mine too, but The Final Conflict overtook when Varese released the deluxe edition - I rediscovered it! The Final Conflict Deluxe Edition sounds so damn good, it's as though it was recorded yesterday. I'd nominate it as a favourite for an SA-CD release. Damien: Omen II is a fine score, but the LA recording sounds so messy sometimes, performance and recording wise. It's the least balanced score in the trilogy, but still good if I'm in the mood for pure screaming satanic chants set to classic Goldsmith rhythms.
  13. Gladiator (along with Crimson Tide and Hannibal) is one of Zimmer's better scores. Unfortunately, it's become the standard for which other composers are forced to mimic. It's as though directors and producers tell them "make it sound like Zimmer!" I also hear it re-worked in TV commercials, which really cheapens it. It certainly isn't among the greatest scores of all time, but it fits the film makes for an enjoyable listening experience on album. I just wish Zimmer and co. would stop making every second score they produce sound like it.
  14. Horner's not bad, but he's not great either. Horner scores I like: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn Aliens The Land Before Time Braveheart A Beautiful Mind Troy Horner scores I was disappointed by: Willow Legends of the Fall Apollo 13 Horner I hate: Patriot Games Titanic
  15. That's a great start! I just got mine in the mail today too and I'm lovin' it.

  17. He'd probably find us too frightening to ever come back.
  18. IMDb is informative to a certain extent, but the people who post there are the biggest bunch of scumbags I've ever come across on the internet.
  19. I also disagree with KM's abbreviation for "etcetera". But there is no denying that the first HP score is a classic. And yes, it's far better than Jurassic Park. Neil Dunno Neil. I always thought Prisoner of Azkaban was the classic score of the series. Philosopher's Stone better than Jurassic Park? Um... okay.
  20. They sure do, I'd love to listen to them too. But... it's... unopened! I've never bought an unopened LP before!
