  1. I wrote myself a comment a few hours or so to post here, but then my PC couldn't find the server anymore... Blast! Anyway, it was great! In my opinion, highlights were: the extended Prophecy, The Great River, The Breaking of the Fellowship, Foundations of Stone, Gollum's Song, Isengard Unleashed, Hope and Memory, and most definitely: The End of All Things, with a nice cut from the previous cue - I thought Shore really mixed that well. Some cues I missed: the 2nd part of Foundations of Stone, The Leave Taking, Shelob's Lair and A Storm Is Coming. But the unreleased cues made up for it though - Caradhras was very nice indeed. I thought the acoustics were quite all right, I expected far worse, having been to Night of the Proms a couple of years ago. Sometimes the sound was a bit muddled, but in my opinion it suits the music, much like there is some kind of a 'wet sound' on the soundtracks. Moreover, many cues draw strenghth from the vagueness characteristic for Shore. One thing that was done rather poorly, was the projection. I couldn't see anything, it wasn't sharp enough. (I was seated in block 223; where were you seated Stefancos?). Furthermore, we never saw Shore in close-up (which would have been welcome since he was a little dot for me too), only from the sides. I was looking to see if he had a baton, and I only saw he didn't in the second half. By the way: http://www.vrtnieuws.net/nieuwsnet_master/...hore/index.html Oh, and I missed this: http://www.fnac.be/vlaams/accueil/lord.htm (***********...) (Blast.) Regards! Lotman
  2. Maybe the project should be called Aliens 2. No I don't care. I'm going to watch it, but it wouldn't be a disaster if it didn't happen, even if Scott or Cameron would direct it. I mean, I really loathed Alien Resurrection, (Alien 3 has its good and bad moments), and isn't Weaver ageing? Or is it spelled aging?
  3. I'm sorry to let you know this, but Arnold is definitely nót an overrated composer! Oh well, coloribus gustibus or so. On Spiderman 2: I've read that Michael Chabon rewrote the script (he was one of the multiple rewriters that is), the author of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. Just having read the novel and preparing a dossier for class about this one, I can say that it was one of the best novels I've read thus far, so perhaps we should be expecting something good or better for Spiderman 2 after all?
  4. That'll be a pretty close call! Anyhow, nobody knows anything about autographs or things like that, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Cheers!
  5. I was wondering, the guys who are going to Antwerpen friday (like me), are you planning to ask Shore for autographs or something? Or just the concert?
  6. I really hate it when he does that. (Not ironic.)
  7. Just for the sake of national identity, Belgium had two discs as well, I believe.
  8. Actually, it seems that 1.21 Gigawatts is put after DeLorean Retrieved, and What an Adventure before The Clock Tower Pt I. (Thank you Ricard!) All the best!
  9. Luckily you don't run the Nederlandse Taalunie.
  10. Again a trailer which makes you watch the whole movie in a few minutes. Phew.
  11. I don't think it's a mess, but that re-ordering sounds good. But I think you might want to take a look at the isolated score... Again, not quite, one or two changes: Gun Barrel On The Beach Hovercraft Chase Some Kind of Hero Welcome to Cuba Jinx Jordan Jinx and James Icarus A Touch of Frost Laser Fight White Out Iced Inc Antonov Going Down Together All the best!
  12. I have this one, but not the SACD version. I like it quite a lot, I'd say it's recommendable.
  13. anybody? thanks anyway for looking!
  14. I have just read the letter, and this is indeed very sad news. I have heard Yared in concert in Gent three years ago, and it was outstanding. I own two CD's of him. He can be a tad repetitive and over-emotional, and I think his oscar was not entirely deserved, but I do believe him when he says this was his finest work. I would very much like to hear this. So when will a promo be released? ...
  15. Hi, Is the bootleg of Back to the Future I chronological? If it isn't, does anybody know the correct order? The same for the Back to the Future II score... Thanks!
  16. I thought it was going to be a more serious movie... Like with adults. Like in the series.
  17. Yeah, I wondered about that. Almost all the things I expected to see in the prequels, I haven't seen yet, (is Episode III going to be that packed?) I mean, what a waste on the guy's childhood - I didn't think the things that happen in Episode I that are important are that numerous.
  18. That track alone is worth 48 euros! Those are too.
  19. Hi, does anybody know or could anybody suggest some track names for the "hidden" extra tracks on the last track of Giacchino's score? Thanks! Lotman
  20. That's quite right, especially in season 6. To give two examples, but there are more, Biogenesis and SR 819 contain portions of the film score.
  21. Damn! Oh well, I can still make a copy and sell the original on Ebay.
  22. Best Score of 2002: Minority Report Best Cue of 2002: Sean's Theme / Recollections / Confrontation with Count Dooku / Finale Best Action Cue of 2002: Everybody Runs Best Theme of 2002: Minority Report / Catch Me if You Can Best Album Release of 2002: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets / Minority Report, were it not for the inferior sound Best Re-Release of 2002: E.T., I still like E.T. more than The Fury
  23. 48 euros - I figured, isn't that the same as it would cost me to buy it and ship it on the Colosseum website?
