  1. Indeed, nice topic! -How many Williams c.d's do you own? 50 or something like that. -Do you have every Legit releases or most of them? Almost all of them are legit. -Do you only get the film scores or/and the concert works. Only the film scores, due to lack of time and my student budget. -Do you plan to eventually get everything? No, just the better soundtracks. -Are you obsessed aquiring every note Williams ever composed? No, I like to concentrate on other styles of other film composers as well. -Do you get Williams scores even if you don't like them for sake of completeness? I guess not, although I do collect all of his Spielberg scores. -Do you get stuff you never even heard? Yes, I admit it, trust the guy blindly. -Do you have the various bootlegs that are floating around? I have some, but I want more, more, more!! -What's your "Prize Posession"? Raiders of the Lost Ark Complete, The Last Crusade Expanded and Tomorrow Never Dies Complete. Oh. I have three. Oh well... -What's your Holy Grail? The Temple of Doom Complete, of course. -Do you have some complete scores from rear channel DVD extractions? The X-Files Movie, Mission: Impossible, The Goonies, Jurassic Park, (Mars Attacks!). -Do you buy the Boston Pops c.d.'s? No, (only one), I'm in for the actual soundtracks, for the time being that is. -Do you buy the Williams compilations by other orchestras? No, I'm a bit of a purist on that matter, although I would listen to the recordings first, before judging them. -What are any major holes in your collection? Er, the concert works, and his pre-Jaws period. -What do you plan on buying or aquiring in the near future? Trading for some bootlegs, ripping from DVD's and some remastered scores. -Are there certain types of Williams c.d.'s that you don't like and avoid even if they are available?(60's comedy scores,americana...) No, not really. -Any major Williams scores(Star Wars,Indy,Superman,JP,Potter..ect...)you never heard on c.d. presention? NO! -Are you only a Williams fan for mainly for certain specific series of film scores because you are big fans of the movies and don't really care about the rest?(Harry Potter,Star Wars) No, I go for the scores, outside the context of the films, but all the better of course if the film is good! My Williams fan-ship began that way, I adored his Spielberg/Williams Collaboration CD when I was little, and I saw the movies only later. Greetings! Lotman
  2. Thanks for the help! And this bootleg discussion, maybe it depends on whether you see an isolated music track on a DVD as an official release of the score or not. If you do, then I have to agree that it's not a bootleg, but if you don't, I think you can consider this as a bootleg, since there is no official release of the score on CD. Or am I completely wrong here? Anyway, thanks! Lotman
  3. Hi, does anyone happen to have a tracklist for this? Thanks! Greetings, Lotman
  4. I posted this in Other Topics, but since From Russia with Love is mentioned here... Could anyone tell me what's the exact chronological order of the soundtrack of From Russia with Love? I found this: 15,1,11,2,14,9+,5,7,8,6,3,18,17,13,10,(4),(12),(16) Is this correct? And the + means that a part of that track belongs in another place in the movie; does anybody know what this place is and which part of the track? (btw, in which place do the 3 source cues at the end come in the movie? - or are they unused? - It's been a while since I could watch the film) Thanks very much and greetings, Lotman

  6. Hey all, say I want to listen to the Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack in exact chronological order? Could anyone provide me with that please? Or is the soundtrack already chronologically arranged? Greetings and thanks Lotman
  7. Concerning all this perfect ending talk, I mainly agree, but nonetheless I can't wait to see the movie. I could be wrong, but I would swear I read somewhere that Kasdan - that is, I think it was him - when they consulted him for the Last Crusade, came up with the ending of having Indy replace the Grail Knight. In that way, his life would come full circle, first chasing archaeological artefacts, in the end becoming one himself through garding one of the most important ones for the rest of his life - eternity that is. I think thát would have been a great ending. I also remember that Lucas and Spielberg decided not to go with that because they couldn't resist the thought of another possible sequel. Greetings, Lotman
  8. A few questions about Crushercomix's bootleg: Why does "Between a Truck and a Long Fall" come before "Bring Back My Grandchildren", as in the film the former follows the latter? (to the benefit of the listening experience? ) What exactly is the "Raptors in the Shed" cue? It says unreleased and unused, but if it were both, then where did he get it? Or is this the úsed cue from the film with some of the same music as in "T-Rex Rescue / Finale"? Greetings, Lotman
  9. I found the right order of the tracks in Filmtracks, but "Into Vienna" (8) is left out because it doesn't appear in the film. Was this track meant to be in the film? If so, could anyone tell me where I can fit this track in? Thanks very much! Lotman
  10. The Nightmare Before Christmas Hard, if not impossible, to make a decision... Lotman
  11. Hi everyone, I was wondering today why most of the Williams bootlegs are his adventure or action scores. Of course there must be exceptions, but I have the impression that bootlegs or complete scores of some works (for example Amistad, Seven Years in Tibet, JFK, etc.) are never asked for. I would love to lay hands on those... (Or dó they exist?) Greetings, Lotman
  12. No offence of course, I wasn't taking the dichotomy young-old literally. And I didn't experience the eighties (although I would have wanted to), but I was reacting against those people who prefer e.g. the prequel trilogy because they didn't experience the original one. I didn't either, but I guess I've done a good job at reconstructing the experience. And I think I will shut up now, it's getting way too abstract. Greetz!
  13. Whoops. That was me. And of course it should have been: "I didn't experience them." Yes. Much to learn I have. Greetings

    E.T.

So it comes down to this I guess: Alternate Versions: Searching for E.T. E.T. Is Dying Saying Goodbye End Credits Unreleased: The Cornfield Stuffed Animals First Kiss I guess the bonus tracks from Ricard's bootleg (see page 4 Message Board) are from the Original Soundtrack Release (those are concert versions - not from the film). Where can you get the film versions of E.T. Is Dying and Saying Goodbye (the latter is that 'Ouch' cue, I guess)? If I am guessing wrong here, could you please inform me? Thanks for the help guys! Greetings, Lotman

    E.T.

Hi everyone. I've been reading the topics concerning complete E.T. soundtracks, but I'm a bit confused. I have the '96 soundtrack and a few unreleased tracks. Could anyone tell me what cues are missing from the '96 soundtrack and what cues from that soundtrack are not film versions or not complete? If you have a complete soundtrack list, don't hesitate to paste it. Thanks very much guys, greetings, Lotman
  17. Hello everyone, I understand this soundtrack is worth buying, but I was wondering if there was a difference between the original release on CD and the re-release a couple of years ago. I am talking about the length of the CD and the sound quality. And by the way, is or was this soundtrack really hard to get? (Filmtracks almost added Jane Eyre to their collectible list). Thanks and greetings, Lotman
  18. My humble opinion is that Minority Report is one of Spielberg's best movies thus far. The film is the perfect marriage of Hitchcock and Kubrick (e.g. the opening shot), without losing the Spielberg touch.
  19. His best is definitely "Everybody Runs". The tension of that track is incredible! Greets...
  20. Hi everyone, I would like to introduce me, as I am new to this board, as a member that is. My first pleasant encounter with Mr. Williams was the Spielberg/Williams Collaboration, with which I am sure you are all familiar with. I will not trouble you guys with uninteresting facts from my personal life, but I do have two questions. How can one obtain these rare soundtracks? I mean, I do have a respectable amount of scores, but none of these bootlegs and promos... Anyway, I'll figure this one out anyhow I'm sure. My second question has to do with an already place post in Trading Board (which is the wrong board for this kind of question - accidents dó happen): I want to make a stereo file from the six wav-files I ripped from a DVD (5:1). How should I do that? Does anyone know a free downloadable programme? To end with, thanks Stefancos, for pointing out how I could get rid of annoying volume changes and other problems, and for answering my question! Greetings and everybody have a nice evening! Lotman
