  1. Yes,indeed you need to listen to the c.d. K.M.Who doesn't include AotC as Rehash End Credits.
  2. I'm not comparing it directly to E.T.I just find in the early-mid eighties Williams developped his trademark heavily orchestrated fantasy style, starting with E.T.,with lush strings,horns,woodwinds...then he used it further in Spacecamp,Amazing Stories and Witches of Eastwick,Home Alone,Hook, and Harry Potter.A lot of cues from these scores are structurally similar and i group them apart from the Action style(SW,Indy,JP) and the serious drama style(Angela's Ashes,Stepmom,Tibet,Amistad,SPR...) K.M.
  3. Nonsence SpaceCamp is quite good and very much in the flavour of E.T. All these are very nice cues: Main Titles The Shuttle The Computer Room In Orbit White Sands Viewing Daedulus Re-Entry and Finale SpaceCamp(End Credit) the music is more mediocre for the scenes where the shuttle malfunctions. K.M.
  4. I have an original copy.I know this has been discussed before, but still nobody dissected the movie to see how much unreleased music there i.I'm sure it's more than 10 minutes K.M.
  5. I agree and wanted to make that distinction earlier with the case of TPM.It does seem Harry's Wonderous World was written for the End Credits.Well at least Williams didn't put any redundant material on the soundtrack album as he did with TPM (and Jurassic Park, and The Patriot and all the others with "reprise" tracks...ect...),maximising space for other cues.So the HPPS remains a very well produced album. But if i was the album producer,I might have made a big Finale/End Credits cue: The House Cup/Leaving Hogwarts/Harry's Wondrous World/Hedwig's Theme And I think the only reason the ToD Finale and Credit were shortened for the album was that it didn't fit on the LP. 6. Yes,as Superman, but we still have a Princess Leia's Theme and Superman Love Theme that that are distinct. K.M.
  7. Joe is reacting to my calling the HPSS Rehash End Credits, but I don't think he gets my point. Maybe if I explain it more therally... For ESB,Williams composed the tracks Han Solo and the Princess,The Imperial March, and Yoda's Theme. For the End Credits,he recorded a differently orchestrated and faster paced version of those themes that have nothing to do with the concert versions.Just like he did for Star Wars,Superman,Return of the Jedi,CE3K,E.T. and the 3 Indiana Jones movies. For HPSS,Williams composed Hedwig's Theme and Harry's Wondrous World, then the film music editors stuck them togheter(same recording) and Voila!... here is an End Credits suite for the movie.Same thing happened in Hook(except the first part),TPM,and Harry Potter. In other words, there is NO point having those concert versions AND the End Credits suite on the SAME c.d. album as they are the exactly the same recording.I was very frustrated when this was done in the TPM O.S.T. K.M.
  8. oh dear,it was a joke. But after finally reading page two of the twins tread i understand tempers might be a bit sensitive the last few days. K.M.
  9. Do the responsible thing, ban yourself for a week! K.M.,
  10. Yes,and a major stumbling block when i tried to read all the books in order. And maybe that's a reason Williams thoughgt it didn't need too much new music. K.M.
  11. That is not what I mean. K.M.Who knows the cue named Yoda's Theme is NOT tracked into the TESB End Credits.
  12. I have wanted that too on my secret guilty pleasure wish list. The music under the annoying lyrics seems like it would play out well by it's own in an instrumental version, then i could play it among his other celebratory fanfares. K.M.Who also likes the instrumental version of Merry Christmas,Merry Christmas on the HA2Deluxe set. K.K.M.Who would like an instrumental version of Christmas Star as well
  13. I don't really care for the HPSS End Credits, I concider them "rehash" End Credits... on the other hand I love Hedwig's Theme and Harry's Wondrous World, which I rank among the best "concert arrangments" Williams has composed. K.M.
  14. The Empire Strikes Back Close Encounters S.E. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom(film version) E.T. Star Wars Superman. K.M.
  15. She is not in the movies,so she does not count. K.M.who doesn't buy that Expanded Universe crap.

  17. Far and Away End Credits was on the "Schindler's List" compilation. Not one of their greatest feats K.M.
  18. I say it must be available in one way or another.I don't read sheet music, but i'm sure it's usefull to many. K.M.
