  1. Final Fantasy Origins Strangers of Paradise.

I dunno , the combat is pretty cool and challenging and the graphics are pretty but it's a "missions" type game with set linear levels that brings you back to the main map when you finish, so no towns to explore or things to do in between except an option to upgrade your gear (which are Diablo style drops so upgrading anything is pretty useless) . At some point I wanted to to be over with.

One thing is the final boss is hard and you lose all your party members for that fight an have to do it alone. Not a big fan of this type of design. Took me 2 hours for the final boss.

51 hours playthrough. There's post game stuff but I've had enough.

WAAAAAAY easier said than done. Trying to combine the two sources is pretty dirty work. The OST and iso each have tons of small snips all over them. It’s very difficult to restore all of them, particularly when the two have slightly different mixes. You often get audible changes in the reverb when cutting between the two. So a lot of judgment calls have to be made - is this distortion/edit in the iso bad enough that it’s worth editing around? Is the edit I created to try to incorporate all the various inserts organic or is it so distracting that it derails the music? I am mostly done with my first “draft”, and I believe I’ve lost about 5 minutes of music, stuff like all the awkward inserts in the Battle of Syracuse, since I threw my hands in the air and deferred to the OST for that section. I’m going to try to create a film version edit to keep as a bonus track, but we’ll see.

I am not a trained music/sound editor, though, so others may have an easier time. I’m also using Audacity, which is not the most user friendly.

    Damn usually it's easier

  3. Well it's obvious Williams can't win every year for similar type of music, but in a few instances he should of like Raiders ,TESB or Superman and even Jurassic Park over his own Schindler's List. And Harry Potter 1 over LotR  (which should NOT have won for 2 movies)

When the guy who cameoed in Home Alone 2 fully admits 'woke' is a pretty meaningless term for the people that keep parading it, then I guess I have to ask what even is the point of using it then if it only invites annoyance at this point instead of actual discussion?

Yes annoyance to this board's snowflakes who'll try to fling accusations of racism at you and get the thread locked by the mods. Some people use the term with absolutely no relation to "that guy who did a cameo in Home Alone 2" and just want movies to remain a politically neutral art form.

  4. Wait what if an A.I. composed

Yes, but that's still baffling because it's not tracked music. It's newly recorded. Which means, once Williams / Ross is given the tempt-track, he goes through the old scores, searching for those couple of bars that the editor has chosen, which don't fit musically with anything before or after, and just copy-paste them, with slight and seemingly-random differences ("let's just add a cymbal crash for the sake of it"). The result is something almost impossible to conduct, or even play, and yet they do it. Why? Isn't is easier just to track music?

Maybe it was composed by an A.I. ?

  5. Easy, there wasn't any rules in place to prevent members of confusing "songs" and "score". Plus ,even back in the day they always go for the most "trendy" choice no matter how much it sucks.

In the 70's and 80's Blockbusters were automatically excluded from winning best picture in favor of serious dramas (like Kramer vs Kramer ) or "witty" Woody Allen romantic comedy.

The Exorcist, Jaws, Star Wars and E.T should all have won Best Picture by a mile.

Around the year 2000 the Academy was briefly cool and LotR won

In the  mid 2000's political correctness came into play and since about 2016  only woke movies win anything.
