  1. I can think of two that always leave me in amazement and awe: The Trumpet fanfare at the end of "Love Theme From Superman" and basically the entire final minute of "The Forest Battle" which someone at Lucasfilm thought was so good they used it in the "Attack Of The Clones" final Theatrical Trailer. Say what you will about the movie - but that trailer was brilliantly assembled.
  2. No, I think the person who puts the names onscreen did that on purpose, I think. But it's funny very often JW's name appears at a very good musical moment... like Memoirs, Schindler's List, The Patriot, etc. Temple Of Doom, Witches Of Eastwick..,
  3. 4 Stars. One can hear the similarities in The main Theme and the Main theme for "Star Wars". At least I've always thought so.
  4. 3 Stars. I like how John Williams' name appears on screen just as the music is in full swell. Think JW did that on purpose?
  5. 5!!! I think it's one of William's best non Spielberg/Lucas scores besides Superman and Harry Potter. The Ballroom scene music kills me.
  6. Merry Christmas from The End of Canada (NL).
  7. It's a good time to listen to "Toys" - and wonder why for some reason, did I love it as much as I did Xmas 1993 but now find it wretched.
  8. 1. Raiders March 2. Imperial March 3. Love Theme From Superman 4. Star Wars - Main Title 5. Short Round's Theme 6. Dance of The Witches 7. Schindler's List - Theme 8. Duel Of The Fates 9. March Of The Villians 10. Princess Leia's Theme I wish I had room to include "E.T. And Me"
  9. Desert Chase. It has everything. And you can hear it better in the actual film then you can Asteroid Field - which is drowned out in many sections because of the non-stop sound effects. I think Desert Chase wins because it's one example where music HAS to carry the story - considering the sequence in the film is almost entirely dialogue free - save for Belloq's "He's There."
  10. Even though it's a dark and often powerful and thrilling movie...Temple Of Doom is very, very funny.
  11. He really shouldn't wear glasses while adventuring...the glass could shatter and blind him. Imagine after a life of globe-trotting and narrow escapes, the one thing that does Indy in is a stray piece of eyeglass.
  12. Soooo....A non Indy related topic might be welcome to some eyes on here at this point. I'm wondering if anyone would know the chronological track listings of the A.I. 2 disc promo. I want to re-sequence it in order.
  13. Ok - for someone who doesn't have these lego rips and only has the 5 year old DVD rips - If I wanted the best possible sounding bridge percussion music where could I go about obtaining it? PM me for any info. Thanks.
  14. With no new JW projects in the foreseeable future...what IS there to post about, nowadays. Why not spend time with you're hot girlfriend? At least until INDY V is announced.
  15. Here's what I love - that everybody else was complaining about - the missing bit of Anything Goes from Nightclub Brawl. I don't miss it - in fact I love that underscore music. God, that is some amazing, dizzying violin work going on. Breathtaking. It reminded me of The Snowball fight from POA. I love it when JW has someone go nuts like that. Chase Through Courascant has some great work like it too. Listen to it with headphones. It's really something. TOD is full of crazy string work. How did the orchestra get through it? Was there red-bull in 1984?
  16. Short Round Helps has the same audio quality as ROTJ 1997 Special Edition. Or Saving Private Ryan which I thought always sounded horrible. Much like Morricone's Casualties of War. (mixing - not actual score - which I like.)
  17. I have: 1980 LP Version (single disc) 1993 Anthology 1997 Special Edition 1999 Greatest Hits Gerhadt Recording and a version from something called "Kids Stuff" released by philips records. And i find the 1997 special edition quite muffled sounding. Is the 2004 version ANY better?
  18. I like AOTC better too. It's just more memorable to me. I don't feel anything from Hook.
  19. Amazon.ca's date is changed to November 18th all of a sudden. I'm not liking that.
  20. So just exectly how long is the bridge percussion music. Right from the moment Mola Ram say "Welcome" to the moment indy cuts the bridge I'd say it's only about 90 seconds of music. Judging by the official track times I'd guess that it could very well be included. Unless I missed a post declaring for certain that it is NOT on the CD.
