  1. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that in TOD Nightclub Brawl is missing the band rendition of Anything Goes? Also is Out of Fuel the full film version as it doesn't sound like it is after one session of listening to it.
  2. Is it a scherzo? Yes Oooooookay, what the hell is a scherzo?
  3. I do know with Star Wars there were two original print versons, an adult and children's version (the childrens version was essentially the same as the adult only abridged). I can't say for certain this occured with the other two films. But the Indiana Jones books have been re-written by Scholastic. Campbell Black wrote ROTLA and has now been re-authored by Ryder Windham. I checked Amazon and found that both versions are currently in print. James Khan wrote TOD but now has been re-authored by Suzanne Wehn; and IJALTC was originally written by Rob McGregor and has been re-aurthored by Ryder Windham.
  4. And holding a little sign that says "ouch". Well, I see my attempt at a serious conversation has been well and truly hijacked. I guess about the only thing to do now is sit and what for the Monty Python quotes and watch it really do down hill.
  5. I watched KOTCS today and heard something very familiar when Indy is on the rocket sled escaping from the Russians. Has anyone else noticed that when the sled takes off that the sound it makes is the same as all the ACME rockets Wile E Coyote (super genius) uses in the Warner Bros Road Runner cartoons. A nice little homage I think.
  6. I don't know if anyone here has read the books but has anyone noticed the newly re-written novelizations of the first 3 movies at all? The original Raider of the Lost Ark book was written by Campbell Black and in all honesty it was a shocker. I couldn't finish it and it was nothing like the final film. Now I know they release a draft script to publishers to get the book out in time for the movie but if they had stuck with the draft script would Raiders have turned out better or worse?
  7. My fun moment in the TOD score is the The Nightclub Brawl. I think it is great how JW managed to intergrate the Big Band playing Anything Goes into the action score. I'm really looking forward to listening to this one for sure.
  8. Not yet but it was on the tv so it must be true. tic
  9. Has this been reported here yet? Does that mean I have scooped everybody? I Just heard on the Today show, an Australian morning tv show, during the entertainment segment with Richard Wilkins (entertainment reporter) that George Lucas has just announced today that there will be another Indiana Jones movie. . . . . . . . . . . . . YEEHAH
  10. I concede. You have to have Ride of the Valkyries up full boar. At least that would sound better than doosh doosh doosh
  11. At least classical music won't send you deaf after 5 minutes.
  12. odd eh,and the cdn dollar dropped at .90$ US ,so it's in fact a great deal but who cares when it actually arrives ,it will have leaked on the net long before that The Aussie dollar had dropped to a 5 year low. How do you think I feel?????
  13. Complete Cue List Comparison (Attempt number 3) Okay, try it this time. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=ppI...YfxPImXlA2jp5Bw Sorry people. Just having trouble flying Google Documents.
  14. On the weekend I did an MS Excel spreadsheet of the first three movies and a complete cue list comparison using the complete cue lists here at JWFan, the previous official release CD's and the new Complete Score Collection. Unfortunately I could not post it here at the time because all the formatting was lost. Now that I know there is a spreadsheet function with Google.... http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=ppI...YfxPImXlA2jp5Bw Let me know what you think and if there should be any changes. BTW Each score has it's own page.
  15. If anyone has problems with this not opening send me an email. I have only just started using Google Docs and don't know how to set it up so it opens freely.

  17. That would be good if I were in the US (thank god I'm not). And the last time I looked at Amazon (several hours ago) they had it for $47.99 USD.
  18. Whats the cheapest preorder price that everyone has found so far?
  19. AWESOME NEWS. There is so much unreleased material on the TOD cd it's not funny. Will definitely be getting this set now.
  20. You probably won't be tuning in for the series premiere this Friday, then, I'd guess... Damn straight...................................................but only because it will take months to come to Australia.
  21. Well, I thought I would go and see this film on the weekend. My partner works at the theatre so that allows me to get in for nothing. All I can say is that I want my money back and the 20 minutes I lost sitting through that crap. When I saw the opening titles I thought "here comes the Star Wars fanfare". Boy wasn't I disappointed. Rubbish. Utter rubbish. I won't be seeing another animated SW film again. AND DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE GETTING ANY MORE SW MUSIC (except if it is John Williams).
  22. Has any one made their own Conan The Barbarian edits at all? I have been attempting to make the battle music after the Orgy sequence with some success using Audacity. I have broken the entire sequence into four main parts which goes in the following order: Track 12 - The Kitchen/The Orgy (as on the Varese release), Track 14 - Battle of The Mounds (edited); Track 1 - Anvil of Crom (edited); and Track 2 - Riddle of Steel/Riders of Doom (edited). The only track giving me issues is the Anvil of Crom edit. Has anybody tried this or got their own edit? Also Does anyone have a clean version of the opening prologue?
  23. Definitely not as good as Conan The Barbarian
  24. If I could rate the score higher I would and the film is great. My favourite track is the start of The Kitchen/The Orgy that includes Zoe Poledouris' contribution. I'm just waiting on the complete score to be released.
  25. This is to all the "Nay Sayers" out there See....James Horner CAN write good music!
