  1. Back to the Future, Back to the Future, Back to the Future, Back to the.....oh...wait
  2. mp3's. Most of mine are currently at 128kbps only because I am still pretty much in the dark about FLAC files and have only just found out how to increase the bit rate when ripping. So now I have started to re-rip my music at 320kbps but this means all my edited tracks require re-editing from scratch to bring them up to the new bit rate.
  3. Granted, that's the worst-case scenario. . . . - Scott But the destruction might in fact be very localised, limited to merely our our galaxy...
  4. I was about to ask "Why the hell did you do that for?" but you've answered that question. At least you didn't lock it because you don't like the score.
  5. Ah, who really cares? Just buy it then complain about it.
  6. Why should it be locked? I don't check the Intrada thread very often. I didn't even know this was released The King has spoken so the thread stays open. lol
  7. Finally. Thanks Intrada. Yeah I know this will probably be locked and a message telling people to go to the Intrada thread but this needed to be announced in it's own thread.
  8. This score is next on my list to edit as I want to edit together a short section of A Building Panic into The Sinking thereby joining that and Death of Titanic together making one extended track as well as making a film version of the ending.
  9. No, there wasn't. It just went soft and curdled.
  10. Really my dear fellow, you should contemplate this statement on the tree of woe. Conan the Barbarian has several corny moments, but irresistable in the way the original Wicker Man is. No. I say we sell him into slavery or chain him to a wheel of pain for that comment. Conan is a great film with a brilliant score. The only thing I don't like about the movie is the sounds of Conan's pain when in the pit fighting. That's just beyond bad! But I love the movie.
  11. Why does the BSG cover remind me so much of The Last Suppper?
  12. Yes there is and it is just DVD rips. I made this using music from "Track 14 - Battle of The Mounds", "Track 1 - Anvil of Crom" then "Track 2 - Riders of Doom" from the Varese 16 track cd and edited using Audacity.
  13. For a long time I've wanted to make an expanded version of Track 12 The Kitchen/The Orgy by adding the battle music. I have tried on many occassions to do this and failed miserably but this morning I woke up and using three existing tracks on the OST did it in less than 2 hours. It cannot say it is 100% perfect but it's good enough for me to enjoy it as much as the rest of the score. The track in 10 minutes plus long and in MP3 format in 320kbps but I seriously doubt anybody would really want it.
  14. Unfortunately, I think we are in the minority on this one. Many people would have been captured in the hype at the time but 12 years on I'm sure people see the film itself and the music as well ina completely different way to when they first saw the movie. And that is something I am curious about. After 12 years does Titanic still stand as the great movie it was made out to be at the time and is the music still considered to be one of the all time great scores? Also many people who loved Celine Dion's song find they can't stand it anymore. Why is this? I think the film and the score are still great...and always will be. And I still enjoy the song too but only in the context of the movie, not as a standalone song.
  15. Sounds good. It's definitely better than what I did a few years ago. I do know there is a couple of seconds of additional music missing from the soundtracks that is heard as the people are being sucked through the windows but really...it's only a couple of seconds and doesn't really affect the overall listening pleasure of what I think is still a great score.
  16. I bought the 2 disc extended version of Angels & Demons when it was released the other week and on the cover slip it has a yellow sticker that reads: "Includes FOOTAGE NOT SEEN IN THEATRES" then under that it has "Create your own music score with Hans Zimmer Music Studio - Powered by Sequel 2!" Ok. Now I have searched the 2 discs and there is nothing that resembles anything like what it says above. I contacted Sony Pictures Home Entertainment here in Sydney and they said they will call me back. Does anyone know what this "Create your own movie score with Hans Zimmer Music Studio" function is and is it on your DVD?
  17. I've got the first print edition of this book (black cover with empty directors chair in water-filled dining room) and don't think there was anything in there I didn't already know. For such a huge project that it was I was surprised the book wasn't longer but it was an interesting book at the same time.
  18. Here is the First Blood cue breakdown, thanks to Charlie Brigden
  19. That's what I thought too. I'll check it when I have more time.
  20. You are correct, Jacksparrow. The track is longer on the CD. I finally got around to working on Gettysburg again (see page 20 of the Chronological Film Score thread for an updated track list) but still can't correctly place these tracks. If anyone knows where they go let me know. Kilrain's Ride* Dawn (this was originally incorrectly placed) General Lee's Solitude
  21. It's gotta be . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Back To The Future, Back To The Future, Back To The Future, Back To The Future, Back To The Future, Back To The Future and 2 and 3 as well. Hey....someone had to say it.

  23. I'm surprised there is only 11 posts on this topic. I thought there would have been 50 or more by now.
