Well, to return to the thread, my feeling is that it perfectly underscores the quiet, tragic atmosphere of the film (which - Hollywood or not - handles it's topic with from a new perspective and with somewhat more feeling and insight than f.i. "Life is beautiful" or the tv-sereis "Holocaust", if anyone remembers that one.... ), but besides the maintheme ( that perfectly captures the essence of the film ), I must admit I'm not much captured by the slow, bare flow of minor-mode music. But of course, it's all a matter of taste. But I sure would'nt like "The Flying Theme" to accompany the scenes from the deathcamps though.
