  2. Marc: I am glad you answered the question. I have always wanted to know, but just never got around to asking.
  3. Welcome to the fan board!!!! I know that you will enjoy yourself. Try out sheetmusicplus.com However, I am not up on where to get the best scores, others may be able to provide you with better links. But it's a start. :-)
  4. I cannot just narrow it down to one so I will give a list (in no particualr order): Les Miserables West Side Story Annie Get Your Gun Anything Goes Fiddler on the Roof Cabret Throughly Modern Millies Wicked The Lion King
  5. I totally agree, I believe it is a way for the record companys to cash in on bands twice. Can't say I don't blame them if the public will buy it. Its very clever.
  6. Well, I listened to the soundtrack radio station and to me it sounds as if they do a micture of score and music inspired by the film. So, of course the channel is not just devoted to original scores. I guess the wat continues.
  7. That is just a shame that you would even make something like that up. I was in a state of shock while reading it and wondered why I was just hearing about it now. I hope this does not spark from the fact that you are upset because he is doing HP4, instead of JW???? If that is the case, then it is a really, really, really, sad case for attention. I can't believe you would do something like that.
  8. That was the best part, I had to watch it like 5 times!!!! Thanks for sharing.
  9. Well, I went to see Shark Tale tonight (by the way it was a funny movie, highly recommend it) and to my surprise what did I hear but JW music!!!!! In the opening of the movie there are bits of the theme from jaws playing. And one of the sharks even makes a refernce to the music, which I found very funny. I guess you just never know where you are going to find a little bit of JW music these days. jwfan4life
  10. Have to offer my .02 as well. I love Everwood and from the all the talk about the show and seeing how the same people that do Everwood does this one also, I am going to have to check it out. I will be sure to pay close attention to the theme music.
  11. Happy Birthday... I cannot remember my First CD it was JP: The Lost World. I played it so much I had to go out and not get another copy, but I had to get another copy after that. :-) Thank God for MP3 players, I don't have to worry about my CD's getting scratched in the cd player. I don't keep the recepits from my cd purchases, b/c mine would never be in such great condition.
  12. I am dissappointed to hear this news, but I guess I will save my judgement until I hear teh score. :-( sad that we won't get hear another great Williams score for HP GOF
  13. yes that does help. Thank you very much. Any suggestions on which ones to get?
  14. Not sure if this has been covered or not but I figured I would ask. First, I am looking into purchasing some scores of JW's. However, what is the difference between the editions (i.e. signature, orchestral, etc)? If someone could shed some light on it, I would be thankful. Also, if anyone could suggest some good scores to purchase, please let me know. Thanks, JWFAN4LIFE
  15. I agree with ocelot. Lets think about this, how many of our friends, family, etc say I do not understnad how you can listen to JW so much? I am sure we have heard it one or twice before. I am sure that peopel say that same thing when they got to the stores and see scored soundtracks and think who in there right mind buys this. Pretty much the fact is everyone has there different preference and to be honest if people didn't like it, it would not sell. All forms of music feed off of each other and that is what makes music so special and different and why it is known as the universal language. Basically, just take a minute to think if the very first composer of music (whoever that may be) got mad at the next composer for trying to borrow some of his ideas, music would not be what it is today. Plan and simple.
  16. That is going to be a great summer if JW does GOF and War of the Worlds. It will be like Christmas in July or whenever the cd's would be released.
  17. Great News!!! Such an honor. I know I will not miss it, I will have my tape ready because it is truly a once in a lifetime thing. JW really deserves this honor, hopefully, this will present him to others that don't know that much about him and make them fans? Does anyone know if they sell tickets to this event?
  18. I would be happy if it were just Zimmer, personally. But I have no complaints about either. I think we should judge the score once it comes out and we can hear it first hand, instead of having pre-conceived notions of something that could turn out great. I agree now the movie is not looking all that bad.
  19. WOW, is that what that box means!!?!?!?!?
  20. I do feel free to IM me anytime at "SHAFTHPKKY". I always enjoy talking to a fellow JW Fan.
  21. I just found this article from MSNBC about Bernstein and thought I would share it: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5753311/
  22. Yet another sad day in the film community. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and fans
