But wow, what a bore visually, in terms of production design.
I don't see it either. We have seen this already 15 years ago and I wasn't impressed with the overall design back then either. What bothers me the most is how animated or Pixar-like the facial expressions are, especially the close-ups where the blue indians gaze at something in wonderment. You only see this expression in kids movies. It's a 'skipper' for me. After all, a fox is not caught twice in the same trap.

Outer Range (all 8 episodes). In the end it was more The OA than it was The Leftovers. But anyway, you can sign me up for Season 2!

I based my comment on that round table talk. He looked very uninterested when Scott was talking. It didn't feel as if Scott is a hero to Tarantino, quite the opposite. I'm pretty sure Tarantino feels Scott wasted his talent after Alien. That's why he was happy Scott was going making Prometheus.
So not only did Tarantino love Alien in 1979, he thinks the movie still holds up today. However, his favorite movie of 1979 is Rocky 2, which he thinks betters the first one. But the best movie of 1979 according to Tarantino is:

No one seems to care. Does it need more spandex and less dragons?
-
But why? The first one was undisputedly mediocre.

Never heard of him but he clearly had good relationships with KORG. My first synth was the KORG MS-20.

Kinda weird interview. Parsons is often a bit aloof in interviews, that other guy was rather weird (but I got kinda used to him over the course of the conversation). Also, there wasn't much deep insight in the discussion of sonics, despite the potential being there. It's also not a topic that interests me as much as the music itself.
Either way, I would like to interview Parsons myself. It would be a completely different conversation -- more about the aesthetics of it all as we walk through his albums. I've seen some earlier attempts at this (there were some posted earlier in the thread with an equally weird guy in some yellow room or something), but they've been unsatisfactory.
I thought it was odd that both seems to regard 'analog' as the superior medium yet they only use 'digital' (Parsons: "Who uses tape anymore? Hahaha").
I know Steven Wilson mainly as a remaster/remix engineer. Can't say his music/voice appeals to me so that's all the more reason for you to check him out, Thor.
"The aesthetics of it all"? They talked about the sound of a bass drum and how they hardly recognize it when recorded digitally. It doesn't get more about about aesthetics than that!

Master (2022)
This movie wants to be drama about racism and at the same time it wants to be a horror movie. It ends up being neither. 3/10

The Bookshop (2017)

I saw the potential but it needed a better script and director. I know Bill Nighy has an interesting appearance but is he considered to be a great actor? Anthony Hopkins he is not! 5/10

Bill Nighy in The Bookshop. I might cast him as George Martin for when I make my Beatles movie.

Great! Isn't it better to have a relatively unknown actor to play Bond?

I hear bookies are now saying this guy from the Netflix series Bridgerton will be the next James Bond:

The Report (2019)
I stuck it to the end but I was glad it was finally over. All The President's Men it is not! 4/10

That's what he says! And it's on Platinum!

I know it has some Gershwin but Glass?

The only Philip Glass that I like is on PLATINUM

Mike Oldfield covered Philip glass?

Swallow (2019)

Stylish drama about an unhappy wife that starts to eat sharp objects.

Even though I watch The Crown, you are speaking Chinese to me, Richard.

How is it interesting sci-fi?
-
Spencer (2021)
Watched it on Prime. Not bad, but the movie is a bit too one-sided and black and white. I mean, every other member of the royal family is cold and heartless beyond belief. It is clear that Kristen Stewart has studied the videos of Lady Di very thoroughly. 7/10

I liked that one at the time (even the gung-ho cannon shots) but I haven't listened to it in decades.
