  1. Neil, I think your on to something since Palpatine acted as if someone drugged him in Episode II. You know? He was staring all the time. He felt more like a dead person to me this time. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  2. Ah, 1977 is king. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  3. Hey, I like LotR. And for what it's worth, every aspect of it is better then any Prequel Episode (and RotJ of course). But what is it gonna change? What is so new about it that it will influence a whole bunch of other movies/directors in the years to come? Hell, LotR IS Star Wars. Peter Jackson should do Episode III and a new hope will arise. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  4. It doesn't matter. LOTR? Pick your choice. Any film around December 19, 2001. Same story. ---------------- Alex Cremers

  6. And I do mean every composer!!! ---------------- Alex Cremers
  7. One of Spielberg's finest qualities as a director is that he can put his ego aside. Someone as Williams can change a movie's overall feel just by having a different perspective of the story. A bit of Spielberg's magic can be explained in that he allows for such a thing to happen. And so Williams changed the feel of "Jaws"(made it more adverturous)and Steven let him. Not many other egos will tolerate this. E.T. , from the start, was blessed with all the right elements in order to become a movie classic beginning with script and ending with editing and score. Spielberg, as most of you know, reedited the movie's Grand Finale to match the sublime music Williams wrote for it. Believe me, every composer wants to work with Steven. ---------------- Alex Cremers

  9. I'm no expert. People from offices don't call me. But I've have always known that AotC UE is coming our way. Sony will handle it. Oh yeah! ---------------- Alex Cremers
  10. Miguel wrote As always. Hey, it's George! ---------------- Alex Cremers
  11. Wrong about... what? EDIT: The first part of the quote or the composing part? ---------------- Alex Cremers
  12. I actually enjoy CD 2 from TPM very much. I consider it listenable. But I agree that it feels more like little cues glued together then listen to complete whole tracks. Perhaps, dare I say it, Williams composed it that way. PS. See how more nuanced you can write when assuming that cues and tracks are not exactly the same. It surely would make discussing here more easy. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  13. He was at THEIR offices AND contacted YOU!?! Ocelot, who are you??? ---------------- Alex Cremers
  14. If Spielberg made this film today critics would applaud. Something they forgot to do in 1987. Empire of the Sun is Spielberg's most underrated movie to date. I hope they will release it soon(restored and remasterd) on DVD. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  15. You see, all that talk about the prequels makes people wanna leave! ---------------- Alex Cremers
  16. That's right, Joe. Just a select few. I had to wait two long years (back then it felt longer) for my next classic: Alien. I left the theater thinking, boy, what the HELL was that! Totally blew me away. And it scored high in other fields different then those of Star Wars. It was no Star Wars clone, which, with all the Star Wars hype, was an achievement. These days I would gladly wait for two years to experience the same kind of emotional thrills. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  17. This King Kong is for a new, younger audience! It is only being made because Hollywood loves CGI and thinks it has reinvented itself! The new younger audience loves CGI and thinks that everything has to be remade! Beware! Jaws will be next! In 15 years another King Kong will be made with better CGI because the old one (Peter Jackson's) looked so faky! This type of movie stinks and PJ knows it! I pity Howard Shore! If indeed Jackson is the director, I predict that, sooner or later, he will abandon the set! I hope for him it will be soon! ---------------- Alex Cremers
  18. I only remember Boba saying something like: Get him, dad!!!. I thought that was kinda funny. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  19. Hum it to me. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  20. I wonder what George has in store for us in four years from now when it's the 30th birthday celebration of Star Wars. Perhaps he will announce that he will do the last three chapters after all, who knows. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  21. Yes, you can add 26 candles to your Star Wars birthday cake today. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  22. Whruhaha...haha...haha...ha!!! How true! --------------- Alex Cremers
  23. It has a remastered sound! That's why! The famous old one could crack a bit on some tracks. ---------------- Alex Cremers
  24. I've come this far, now let's finish the ride (and only on DVD, mind you). ---------------- Alex Cremers
  25. When things weren't going too well for the Hulk or David Banner, you felt sorry for the guy  (with a little help from the music, of course). But that was in the old tv series "The Incredible Hulk"! Which CGI created character can accomplish the same thing? Jar Jar? The new Yoda? The Hulk? Tell me! ---------------- Alex Cremers
