Stopped watching it pretty quickly. Too ADHD!

Precisely that. The movie is nothing but a poorly written fanfic about Star Wars, made with $200m.

I've only seen 15 minutes, but from a visual standpoint, things really looked ridiculous during that market/kites scene. The way our heroes hastily and clumsily run from one place to another looked so amateurishly bad, it's something I only see that in cheap kids shows. If I was a director, I would not have shot it the way Abrams did. Then we get a chase scene (again silly those with superfast flying stormtroopers) where the heroes end up in some kind of quicksand. It all looked so silly that I couldn't watch any further. Abrams takes the cool out of Star Wars. Yes, the script is mainly to blame but Abrams' direction didn't help things either. Of course, the movie could get better after those first 15 minutes but I didn't stay to find out.

I have zero interest in this film, but agree with this.

I dunno why people are still so surprised whenever Adam Sandler is good. I suppose there was still a contingent that thought Punch Drunk Love, Funny People, and Meyerowitz Stories were flukes and now there's consensus that he's a legitimate talent who just likes going lowbrow more often than not.

David Robert Mitchell's zany Lynchian L.A. Noir movie. I really like It Follows but this one not so much. 4/10

No idea. I only have a few titles and it doesn't say anything beyond 'HDR'.

I did ... and then I forgot about it.

To see what it's made of, I hooked up the Yamaha A-S501 with my high-end Dynaudio Confidence C1 speakers, and it sounded very, very good. Not at first though ... I first connected my CD player to the built-in DAC of the Yamaha and it sounded rather 'okay'. Things really changed when I listened to the same CD via my NAD DAC. It sounded much fuller and with more body. I thought it wouldn't make that much of a difference, butt the cheap built-in DAC of the A-S501 is not the way to go. 
 

I think people have speculated about this, but it hadn‘t been confirmed yet (as far as I know). Now, ASM has confirmed in an interview with Bavarian television that JW is indeed writing a new „big“ violin concerto for her. She says it will be premiered „next summer“ (likely meaning summer 2021), even though she also talks about taking a sabbatical next year ( I guess she will make an exception for the premiere?).

I play the piano, make music, I'm passionate about photography, and have interests in other things outside those as well. I admit, I don't read books or like sports.

But Alien wouldn't have been as successful if it had the dialog and characters of Prometheus. All the elements still have to work together, otherwise it would only be as good as its weakest link.

This looks bad.

Yeah, silky as in smooth but missing bite. 

- Only two Hi-Fi stores left in Antwerp city, but they are not the kind of stores you can freely roam around, so I don't bother with them.
 
- No more Hi-Fi shows around here. I used to love those but Hi-Fi is kinda dead in Belgium (everything is internet now).
 
- I once had bookshelves by B&W but I sold them again because the mids were too silky sounding. I like a more neutral presentation. Mids is where everything happens.
 

 
These were the B&W speakers I had. Yes, they were bullet proof.

Most of Thor's titles can be used to make a case for the OP, IMO.
