I still get funny looks when I tell people what type of music I like. Well hey I blame my passion of music when I took band in junior high.
I have to be in the mood to listen to other genre IE: Rock and such but it's rare that I am. I could listen to film scores all day long.

I have so many holy grails still left unreleased, it's not even funny. Recording sessions leaks have helped more with that than official releases, actually!

You should have added "Neither" for the for score as an option. Nolan's Batman for sure got my vote for the film. For the score since I had to chose a lesser of two evils I chose Batman Begins.

I went back to the article regarding the Rogue Cut extended score release... and there is a link to Amazon for it... I hope it won't be a digital only release...guess we'll find out in 5 days.

I remember seeing First Contact on opening night when I was 9 years old. It had the right logo and fanfare to begin and then a peculiar opening title sequence ensues with names coming into focus, nothing particularly remarkable or Star Trek about it. But that music had me completely floored. I immediately needed the soundtrack. Shit, not since Star Wars had opening titles gotten me so amped up, you know? That Main Title is some of the best fucking shit I've ever heard. I get off on it.

What a legend.

As is TDKR in my opinion

Its the most uneven, sure. But it holds my interest the longest.
And the philosophical stuff regarding the rise is superb.

If Silvestri had been back for this there wouldn't have been any issues.

Good finale to one of the strongest seasons overall. Riveting stuff!

In bygone years, I expressed my belief that "The Enterprise" was not, in fact, evidence that Jerry Goldsmith was a god among us. I suggested that it, along with the rest of the score to TMP, was overrated. Overblown. Not worthy of its reputation as film scoring par excellence.
I was deeply and utterly wrong.
I have seen the error of my ways. You all have my most profound apologies. Please forgive me.
