Who?

If we're excluding Williams, I'd put James Newton Howard right at the top of the list. I suppose Powell would be a contender after that, as well as Giacchino, who's steadily on the rise.

That's right! I found the article here:

That's exactly the type of situation a film score fan would really have no chance of explaining to a "regular" person (at least, without coming off as a neurotic social outcast). Regarding the topic at hand, I remember there being a small article about Goldsmith's passing in Entertainment Weekly (JW was even quoted in it), so I assume there'll be something similar, if not more substantial, for Williams.

I can do that!

That grape fall is one of my favorite "blooper" videos. It's horribly funny...the sounds she makes!

I wouldn't go that far. Bunshole.

It'll be interesting to see if there's any fallout from Michael's heated conversation with David Wallace. I thought that scene was rather sad.

Hah!

I can't figure out what "crap" is substitued for...

Well, I sincerely doubt that was the only reason the filters were instated...if the forum was moderated by the standards of Bob Jones University, we wouldn't really be able to do much at all. The filter became especially silly a while back when "ass" was briefly replaced by "buns," regardless of the fact that dozens of words in the English language contain the letters a-s-s in succession. Ray Barnsbury - whose favorite result of that filter was "bunsbunsinate"

When have you seen Williams in concert?
Ray Barnsbury replied to Taikomochi's topic in General Discussion
That was my first Williams concert! I've seen him in concert (and had the privilege of briefly meeting him) three times: Clevelend 2002, Boston 2004, and Detroit 2008. -
My thoughts exactly (sorry, Prez). Seriously, though. Ray Barnsbury - whose first thought upon seeing this thread was how difficult it's going to be for Joe

Yes, I know the part you're referring to. A wonderful passage indeed! Actually that whole cue is great - the fanfare as the centaur gallops in is really something.
-
Not sure what it should've replaced, but I definitely think it should be there. It's an integral part of the score, and does a great job of building the tension toward the climax.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Ray Barnsbury replied to Williamsfan301's topic in General Discussion
The first score is quite good, the second less so because of the rehash that was already mentioned. In any case, I'm looking forward to hear what Arnold comes up with; it was definitely time for a change. -
Aye. Complete (or even expanded) Potters would be a dream. Maybe even a wet one!
