I like Spider-Man better tha AOTC too. They're both very enjoyable movies, but Spider-Man's dialogue actually drew me into the story, rather than making me laugh at it as AOTC did. But like I said, I really liked them both.
Ray Barnsbury-who liked Elfman's score too . . . but not as much as Williams'

Sorry Hector, I just got home!

I'm with Harry and Kevin: John Williams is THE best composer that hs ever lived. Obviously this is highly subjective, but it's the way I feel. The man has moved and touched me like I never thought possible for someone I don't even know. I am entirely in his debt.

I'm always excited for a new Williams score, I really can't wait! And the movie looks good too. Different but good.

Gotcha, thanks.

Is Superman a march? I always thought it was but then it's always called Main Title or something like that. I think I'm confused.
Non-sense!

1941 is the best, I agree.
Imperial March is a close second however!

Well, happy early birthday to you!

It may have been Alan Silvestri's Forrest Gump. I know that was played at least at the Opening Ceremonies. And it fits the description, it's slow, very stirring, and somewhat like a hymn, with a full orchestra. I hope this helps!

We were at the 2001 show in February, on a Thursday (I think it was the 22?). My band is playing this February, over our mid-winter break. And no, I've never seen the Candlelight Processional or Disney Orchestra, but they sound fantastic! Hopefully in the future I'l be able to see them.

LOL, thanks Dan. That's what I used to describe it when I wrote to JW in February.

Thanks Hector! I was just clearing the air.
Yes Harry, this chat thread is great fun. I finally feel like a part of a "group" here, where before it seemed dominated by the now often absent board elders.

Well, that does sound easier . . .

Ok, catching up on all these posts:
Hector: I know I was getting out of control, I was just joking. Sorry if I made you mad.
Harry-I got tickets for ninth row (you beat me!) center
Dan-So great to talk with another Disney fanatic! Yes, I also enjoy Test Track. I LOVE the Great Movie Ride, and The Backlot Tour and Indy are great as well. And we've eaten at the Prime Time 50's Cafe the past several times we've been there. I like it a lot as well, it's always fun watching the TVs and waiting for someone to get "in trouble" by putting their elbow on the table. I also saw Fantasmic two times ago. I agree, it's very nice. Did you see the Main Street Electrical Parade before they got rid of it? I loved that, it had really great music. Also, last time we were there we got to see Rosie O'Donnell at MGM . . . but didn't you say you met her in person? Finally, no we don't know where we'll be recording the Disney music/scene.
About Mrs. Doubtfire-different from Shore current work? I thought it sounded exactly like LOTR!

Thanks!

Hmmm....odd. Perhaps he didn't read the thread.
Ray --- you should get together with Harry and have him sneak you backstage with him.
Director - trying to see how he can manage to meet up with Harry and Ray.....
I hope you can join us, Dan. And great idea about sneaking backstage!
Harry-I fit very nicely in a duffel bag!!!

Agreed, E.T.'s Flying Theme is his most thrilling theme, just as it says on the liner notes of the Greatest Hits Album.
