    Well, I just got Harry Potter on DVD today. My brother and I watched some of the special features, they were pretty cool. Although we couldn't find the deleted scence-the menus are kind of cryptic. Anyway, it'll be fun to watch it this weekend. Also, my dad got our tickets for JW's Cleveland show today, so that's another good thing. I guess that's about it . . . hmmm . . . so . . . anything else going on? :music:

    I gave it an 8. The dialogue was poor at times, but it didn't make the movie unenjoyable by any means for me. It was so visually enthralling, and watching Palpatine manipulate his way to power is reason enough to love the movie. Not to mention finally seeing that Jedi don't just sit around meditating all day and that Yoda is a force to be reckoned with (no pun intended!).

    I love!!! the Hook score, one of my very favorites. I like the movie too, but I wouldn't put it in my top 5, so I said that it was decent.

    About the "Hook" ghost in HP, I think Harry's right, it was suppose to be the Bloody Baron. I heard one of the students say his name as he was flying down the table. But this is ridiculous as the Baron is supposed to be sullen and frightening.

    And the other two ghosts: Ravenclaw has the Grey Lady and Hufflepuff has the Fat Friar. Hope that helps!

    Thanks guys! And just to clarify, my band is recording a scene of music to an already released Disney movie, just for out own personal enjoyment. Not a commercial release. :music:

    On a side note, thanks to your advice Dan (and my dad's help), I just bought the Mrs. Doubtfire soundtrack from e-bay. I like it a lot, although it's a little different than Shore's most recent score.;)

    Just to confirm, John Williams is indeed scoring Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He says so himsef in at least one of the CNN interviews. I watched it again today (I recorded one of them) and after asked about what's next for him, he mentions Minority Report, Harry Potter #2, and Catch Me If You Can, all as definite commitments. Two Spielberg scores and a Harry Potter score? Sounds like some great opportunities for more un-hacked Williams music!

    I'm here again! It's been a few days, and it's taken me forever to get caught up with everything.

    Dan- My favorite Disney Parks are MGM and the Magic Kingdom (gotta love Splash/Space/Thunder Mountain). Rock'n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror are great rides! And actually, I am going again this February, with my high school band. We are marching in a Magic Kingdom parade and playing during Illuminations at EPCOT. We also get to have a three-hour sight reading session and record the music to part of a scene from a previous Disney movie. I'm really excited, it shoul be great!

    I would like more of the old themes already mentioned, and new themes representing aspects of the movie that have already been mentioned

    Harry-a private meeting with JW at Cleveland?!?!? I'm so jealous! But also happy for you, I hope it works out!

    Dan-thanks for the tips on autograph material. Since I'm not the boy who lived and can't conjure up any magical connections with the orchestra (jk Harry! ;) ), I probably won't get a chance to meet JW, but I will take your advice and hope for the best.

    General Spoiler about the tone of the ending of the fourth HP book, in case anyone feels it would be horrific to read this:

    About the HP books, they're all so great. But the best part of any of them has to be the end of the fourth book. Powerful, emotional, makes me weep. And it really leaves you hanging for the next book. Hagrid's line, "As long as we've got Dumbldore, I won't worry" gives me chills. I wonder if it foreshadows some dark event down the road. :|

    Yes! HIRE SOMEONE WHO CAN WRITE AND DIRECT, I don't care if it's a high school student from New Jersey, as long as they do better than Lucas.  Someone on the set needs to stand up to Lucas as Harrison Ford did, saying, "You can type this shit George, but you can't say it." ;)

    Sorry guys!!! :oops: I haven't been on for a while. Ford said this to Lucas sometime during the first trilogy, probably during one of the first two movies. I've read this several times, I think usually in the Star Wars Insider. I also saw Ford quote it when he was talking on George Lucas' Biography on A & E.

    Not like Monica's Theme? I'm not sure I understand those words! I agree with Dan, it's one of Williams' most beautiful themes ever, possibly #1 for me. Since you said it was #2, Dan, what is your #1?

    Hey Dan, you're going to Disney World? That's great, I love that place. Have you been there before? I went once when I was five, and then my family and I have gone three times over the past six years. It's an amazing vacation. I guess if you're missing JW in Cleveland, you'll be in the next best place!

    3.) The Patriot & AOTC (tie)  

    A.I. is gorgeous, innovative, and completely unlike anything else I have heard.

    How dare you put AOTC down with The Patriot :mrgreen: And, if you think AI is that innovative, you don't know much modern classical music :music: Rather than being innovative, it's in the style of modern classical music.

    AOTC is more innovative.

    Here is my list for the movies.

    1. AI (Don't baaaaaaaa! me Joe :roll: )

    2. Tie Harry Potter/Attack of the Clones (neither was perfect I think)

    3. The Patriot

    Yes I dare to put AOTC with The Patriot, I like them equally. :tongue2: And you're right, I know nothing about classical music. By innovative I meant that to me, A.I. sounds very unique compared with many other of Williams' scores. You say AOTC is more innovative, that's fine. To me it sounds more like his other scores than A.I.
